"I hired DC Handyman to fix some closet doors and to do some touch-up painting and Yonatan did a great job! I've tried other handyman services in the area with little success in finding quality service and a fair price. I received both from DC Handyman, quality work at a fair price. I would definitely recommend them."

"Management suggested having second man arrive for about a half hour to assist in lifting two large framed pieces. Work was scheduled for 9:00 am. First worker arrived at 7:50 and second arrived at 8:30. First worker installed hook, then remained for entire time, briefly assisting second (more skilled) worker hang the large pieces, otherwise talking and watching the entire time. In short we ending up paying for two handymen when only one did all the work, at a cost of well over $500. We politely brought this to the company’s attention. The phone representative agreed regarding the original plan, but we have heard nothing further. In our estimation, the first worker was not capable or equipped to do the job and we ended up paying for him to hang around while the work was done by his colleague. The final cost was outrageous and lack of response very disappointing to say the least."

"I was looking for a handyman, initially in my area, through word of mouth, and none of my friends could suggest anyone. I went to Angie’s and requested the service I needed, to wall mount my new TV. . Initially I was sent two businesses thru Angi, so I called and left messages for both. I have yet to receive a return call. Jervey, apparently, saw my request and followed up with me, immediately by phone and then text. We scheduled the TV mounting for today. I feel so lucky to have hired him. He was very communicative and responsive, leading up to the job. Best of all, he was prompt, highly skilled, efficient and personable. He also offered a good price for his work and his time. The job is completed and I am so happy with the work he did. He even helped me set up the TV, since it was new. I now have a great handyman who is reliable and talented. If you need work done around your home, furniture assembly, installations, small projects, I encourage you to give Jervey a call. He"

FAQs for handyman service projects in Germantown, MD

To measure the right size for a pet door, start by measuring your largest pet. The flap should be at least one inch taller than your tallest pet and at least two inches wider. It's also important to measure the step-over, which should be no more than one-third of your pet's height from the floor to the back.

Pet doors are safe when you implement proper security measures. Opting for models with locking covers or electronic controls—such as microchips or collar-activated sensors—enhances safety by ensuring only your pet can use the door. These features are especially valuable if you have young children or want to prevent stray animals and intruders from entering your home.

Pet doors can affect your energy efficiency by allowing outside air to enter and affect the temperature in your home. You can minimize this impact by choosing a high-quality, insulated pet door that's properly sealed and weatherproofed. Investing in energy-efficient models helps maintain indoor temperatures while giving your pet the freedom to come and go.
