"After a few back-and-forths with an eventual mutual agreement on how the job was best to be done, the job was performed to my satisfaction. While it was more than I wanted to spend on repairing an existing furniture item, in the end it is what I wanted and it was less than replacement cost. I paid for the parts out of pocket with my own credit card which was approximately 1/3 of the overall cost of the repair. It is good to be flexible with your time on the day the job is to be performed as the pro handyman had multiple jobs the same day and required to do shopping for parts for my job and required three separate visits, two in the morning, One to assess the job and begin the work and want to buy parts and revisit and one in the late evening to finish the job in one day. Anyone that has handiwork to do around the house should be flexible with their schedule on the day of the appointment visit. Also just because you’re hiring a handyman does not mean it’s hands off. This particular job required my involvement at times of lifting and placement of some of the items and the skilled labor was completed by the professional. He worked alone on my job. In the end the job was done and I returned the parts that were no longer needed back to the store to obtain a refund on unused items. The handyman probably scheduled too many appointments in one day as the jobs are sometime more complex than initially thought or how the repair was envisioned by the handyman versus how the customer envisioned the repair. At the end of the evening, everyone had a late dinner with their wives and happy with how the day concluded."

"Found out after they finished the job that the hard-working, efficient guys at TME (Tony, Cody and Kevin) gave up their Veteran's day holiday to take care of our problems. Their work is really topnotch, and the area was very clean after they were finished. They even took all the trash bins out to the curb as I'm sure they noticed several of the neighbor's bins were out (trash pickup is tomorrow.) I know other handymen would not have done so.
