"I had an existing back porch which I wanted roofed and screened in and didn't know where to start looking. HANDYMACK was recommended to me by a family friend and they absolutely exceeded expectations. They are prompt and transparent communicators, hardworking professionals, and genuinely pleasant people. I am so happy with my new porch and have practically lived out on it since Mack finished up! Even after a few huge Spring storms, the deck stays bone dry and bug free! HANDYMACK finished my job quickly and did an amazing job for a really competitive price. I will definitely be contacting them again if I have any future jobs!"

"Owner/operator of A Bit of Everything LLC, Mike, was a pleasure to work with from the beginning. We were handling the deck replacement from 3 states away (via my father as a manager) but he truly made it seamless, painless and worry-free. We had a deadline, but he got started right away and met it despite challenging winter weather. He removed and rebuilt our deck leaving the grounds very clean and presentable. The quality of the project was excellent and competitively/reasonably priced with all the labor, parts, and cost itemized on his invoice. . But his professionalism, customer service and communication is what really distinguishes him from the many contractors I have dealt with. Unprompted daily updates on his progress, frequent pics and honest assessments and advise on how to handle hiccups along the way. Mike was honest, hard-working and reliable. I would without a doubt recommend his services to anyone in the area and would definitely use his company again if needed. My father was so impressed with his work he said he would also use his company in the future. 5 stars work, quality and customer service.....cant beat that!"

Hi neighbors! ?\n\nMy name is Lauren, and I'm the proud owner of The Handywoman Next Door. I started this service to help people who need reliable help with the everyday fixes and small projects around their home.\n\nWe all have those tasks that just don't get done.? I'll get to it later? list?loose cabinet handles, shelves that need hanging, light fixtures to change, furniture to assemble, decluttering project that just never seem to get done. That is where I come in.\n\nWhat makes The Handywoman Next Door special is that it's built on the idea of helping people feel comfortable asking for help. Many homeowners especially women, seniors, or anyone who simply hasn't learned how to do certain repairs often feel intimidated calling large contractors for small jobs. My goal is to provide friendly, honest, and dependable help without the pressure or judgment.\n\nI believe everyone deserves to feel confident and comfortable in their own home. Sometimes that means fixing something for you or helping you get it done.

To measure the right size for a pet door, start by measuring your largest pet. The flap should be at least one inch taller than your tallest pet and at least two inches wider. It's also important to measure the step-over, which should be no more than one-third of your pet's height from the floor to the back.
Pet doors are safe when you implement proper security measures. Opting for models with locking covers or electronic controls—such as microchips or collar-activated sensors—enhances safety by ensuring only your pet can use the door. These features are especially valuable if you have young children or want to prevent stray animals and intruders from entering your home.
Pet doors can affect your energy efficiency by allowing outside air to enter and affect the temperature in your home. You can minimize this impact by choosing a high-quality, insulated pet door that's properly sealed and weatherproofed. Investing in energy-efficient models helps maintain indoor temperatures while giving your pet the freedom to come and go.
