"We contacted At your Service Air Conditioning and Heating because our air conditioner was not working. Their response was quick. Bob came over the same day we called. He found that a part was suspect that was still under warranty. He came back the next day and put the new part in. We were charged a service charge, labor and a manufactures warranty Fee. This is an honest company. I would have put my review in quicker but had to wait on my daughter to help me. My husband and I highly recommend At Your Service Air Conditioning and Heating."

"After 22 years in SW Florida I have finally found a competent and fair HVAC company. Not only did Luis do a good job with the annual service he went above and beyond taking care of my complaints about our 3 year old system. Without charge he corrected a number of mistakes the installer made 3 years ago that I couldn't get them to fix. The items that needed to be replaced were priced fairly. And to top it off Luis is honest which seems to be the exception to the rule in the air conditioning service industry. I will definitely be using him in the future."

"I reached out to Paul on a weekday afternoon. He was knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and gave me, by far, the best price on a full split system replacement. The next morning, he and his guys showed up on time and had the new system up and running before noon. His guys were very personable, they got the job done fast, and they cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend Paul and his crew at Polar Bear Air."

"A/C quit working in 90 degree Florida heat and high humidity. One call and 20 minutes later two professional repairmen arrived, diagnosed the problem, and within 30 minutes quoted me a reasonable price and explained what was wrong. They repaired a very old A/C system and got it up and running like new. Very professional and trustworthy. They come highly recommended."

"This company is by far the most efficient, cost effective, hardest working crew I’ve ever seen. I had them replace my 20 yr old system and then we found out the previous owner had roof rats which totally destroyed the entire duct work. The previous ac company just tried to tape the duct work, but that’s just a temp fix. The rats had nested in the duct work. This company gave a very fair price with military discount to boot. They even came on a Saturday to replace the duct work. The access was so small only one guy could get through (Javier).? Anyway this guy spent 5 hours up in that attic ripping out and replacing 15 air ducts. The quality of work, professionalism and dedication is above and beyond. Can’t say enough good things about this company and the people they have"

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in Cape Coral, FL

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
