"I highly recommend engaging Raynor Services for your heating/air conditioning needs. Our technician, Matt, was very friendly, courteous and efficiently diagnosed and planned the remediation of our heating problem. He took the time to point out what was wrong and provided some extra measures we could take, should we decide to, in the future. No sales pitch, no pressure to add additional costs. Extremely satisfied with Raynor’s friendly service, quick response (less than 1.5 hrs from my call) and low costs to return our heating system back in working order. We will continue to call on Raynor Sevices for all of our heating & ac needs."

"I was looking to replace my inefficient 16 yr old gas furnace & central air conditioner! After much research, I had my heart set on Goodman products. I talked to several contractors who pushed a certain brand but not what I wanted. So, I went online and came across Robinson Mechanical who stated they install all brands. Dave Robinson came out to my house, checked out my existing heating & air system & we discussed my needs. He was very friendly, knowledgable & above all not high pressured like others I encountered. The following day I received an estimate that was fair, reasonable & one that I personally was satisfied with. We scheduled an installation date, they were at my house at 8AM & stayed until job was completed . I cannot say enough about Robinson Mechanical beginning with Jen in the office, Dave who personally oversaw the work & his two brothers who installed the units. They were pleasant, curteous, professional, COVID safety conscious, meticulous when it came to installation, clean up & checking out the system once installed. They did a great job and I am extremely pleased with the results. If anyone is looking for HVAC installation, I personally recommend Robinson Mechanical and assure that you won't be sorry!"

Anthony recently installed my entire new AC unit at my house in Wildwood Crest, and the workmanship was exceptional. Anthony is very honest, friendly and offered this project service at a fair price. Anthony follows up on his work after it’s completed to ensure everything works properly. I will definitely use his services and recommend him to anyone in the future who is in need of HVAC services."

"I’ve been a customer of Salfi plumbing for over 10 years. With a 3 story 1890’s Victorian house with lots of plumbing parts, we have experienced several plumbing challenges including a lighting strike that blew out my new HVAC system. Salfi has always been availability in a timely manner day and night to help me correct my plumbing issues. Believe me we’ve had several. Burst pipes, leaks onto other floors, backup in our sewer line, several toilet replacements, Sink replacement, gas line movement, furnace replacement etc. Salfi has always given me peace of mind and fast service when needed. I feel they provide excellent service and have helped me through simple replacements and immediate emergencies. I highly recommend them within a heart beat."
Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.
Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.
With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.
The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.
Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.
An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.
An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
