He provided us with estimates for a number of options - similar to those from other HVAC companies that quoted for this work. Alex made the one and a half hour drive to visit with us again, to walk us through the contract details, and to explain install process. This was a really nice touch as usually contracts are signed electronically these days. "Patrick and Adam came to my house to fix a leaking tankless electric water heater. They could not fix. I wasn't happy with the performance so Patrick recommended a gas vented water heater. Also installed a utility tub in my laundry room. I didn't even call done rite till maybe 11:00am. They came did all work and where out of here by 5:15. How is that for same day service. Jason came to assist. Cleaned up nice crew. I would highly recommend them."

"Project: Conversion from oil to gas heat and water heater including oil tank removal I don’t normally write reviews so I’ll start with the bottom line and go into more detail below. I highly recommend Burns & McBride for your heating, A/C jobs. From the sales, demolition and install they did the job right and for a good price. They participate in Energize Delaware program where DE provides rebates on upgrades in heating, A/C and insulation from select servicers enrolled in their program, saving you money. My oil furnace was 27 years old and had minor repairs to keep it going, the oil tank was from 1974 when the house was built. The tank was in the far corner of a crawl space not an easy place to remove. The water heater was a 10 year old electric about the time to start thinking of replacement. I had four estimates for the job. Bidders fell into two categories, those who participate in the Energize DE program (which qualified for DE rebates) and those who did not. Companies not in the program trashed it and said it was too much work to comply with the rules and that the cost would be inflated by the contractors (BALONEY!!). Those in the program gave me a sense of the cost before the rebates but none gave me any sense that they were capable of all aspects of the job and most did not even come back with a bid. Jim Myers from Burns & McBride was my salesman; he worked in the business and knows his stuff. He came in assessed the job and put together a plan with the costs and eligible rebates on the spot. By far the most professional of 4 other companies I spoke to. The crew, Calvin and Keith, spent the first day getting rid of the old equipment including cutting up the old oil tank. The next day they worked late putting a new furnace, tank less water heater, and humidifier and took care of all the gas and water line hook ups. These guys worked hard, knew what they were doing and did a GREAT JOB. They got us up and running the second day as promised. If you thinking of any doing any heating A/C work you really ought to call Burns & McBride, I was very impressed and pleased with their work"
