"My furnace is about 20- 30 yrs old, steam for radiators and he knew exactly what had to be done and had the materials to fix it. New sight glass fitted and put in, etc. Nothing like skill generated from the experience of having done it. Had the equipment and moved forward. Put heat back in house, fixed water heater, and all is good. Will call him again. R"

"we contracted with Comfort Ductwork Systems to install a ductless air conditioning system into two of our bedrooms. They offered the best price and provided a good parts and labor warranty. The installation went flawlessly until the final testing showed a defect in the heating portion of one unit. Jonathan Moya, owner, stuck with the problem and persevered until tech support came to our home and determined that it was equipment failure. The manufacturer replaced the defective outdoor compressor and the system works flawlessly today. My hat goes off to Johnathan who didn't give up. He is competent, honest and reliable."

"We were desperate to find someone to repair our central air conditioning unit. We were not able to move into the house and everyone that we called was not able to accommodate us because of the recent heat wave. All Weather was able to get a technician to us within 2 days. Nuri was amazing and showed my husband how everything worked and what repairs needed to be done. By the time he left, we had a cool house and were able to set up our movers. Thanks to Angie’s list, I found a reputable company that was reliable and efficient. We can rest easy! Thank you!!!"

"The person that showed up is the owner. He diagnosed the problem with my central air conditioning system, was a clogged filter due to sanding spackle. Could have charged the system or fed me a bunch of lies but instead was perfectly honest, charged me an inspection fee only and buttoned everything up. I was shocked. Great guy and knows his stuff. Would definitely recommend him."

"Electrician Rob Cunningham conducted an electrical evaluation on my house and recommended an electrical panel tune up because it was dirty and some of the wires were loose and he also recommended installing a Gfcl (not sure I'm spelling it right) outlet to protect the washing machine. I took his advice. He completed both jobs in a timely manner and gave me a 10% discount. I feel my house is safer thanks to Rob and NH Ross. The company put in my Combi heating system which has been working very well."

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.
Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.
With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.
The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.
Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.
An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.
An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
