Customers say: Super punctual

"I have been using Mike as my Heating and A/C guy for 17 years and he is awesome! He is very personable, professional, knowledgable, and reasonably proced. He has never tried to sell me anything I don't need (like some others I dealt with). I have also used him for emergencies (water heater) and he has been there when I needed him."

"I finally needed to replace my 23 year old furnace and was not happy with my current HVAC service provider so I started shopping around. I knew I wanted a Trane system so started at the trane.com website and saw that Roy Rogers was an authorized provider. I read their YP and Angie's List reviews and was impressed with what I saw so I contacted them. Dustin called me back within an hour and by that afternoon was at my door to take a look, answer my questions and provide me with a solution. I compared them to other larger installers and decided I wanted to give them my business. The installation went very smoothly, they were on-time and met every promise. There was a hiccup in the furnace the first night but Roy came right back out and within 15 minutes, problem solved. No issues since and it has been running great. I would highly recommend these folks for anyone looking to maintain or replace their HVAC system."

"Professionals from start to finish! We got estimates from close to 10 other companies before deciding to go with Irish Air. Jake, our sales rep, took the time to answer all of our many questions. He and his dad Jim (the owner) worked with us to get the right system (heat pump and furnace) to suit our needs and budget. Our head installer, Tim, and his team did an excellent job. Tim took extra time to inform us about the system and the new thermostat. Great equipment, great service, great price."

"Usually, when I was given estimates it ended up costing more. With Good Guys, the estimate was the cost exactly. My furnace quit in the middle of the night. I called Good Guys at 4am thinking I'd get voicemail or answering machine but I got a person. He scheduled service between 8 & 10am and they were here at 8:15 examined the furnace showed me all the things it needed gave me a replacement cost, went and got furnace replaced it and I had heat by mid afternoon. These guys are great."

"I called Hope plumbing and was told right away that they were booked solid but could come out the following day. After a little more discussion, they said they could have someone come over right away. A service man came out within 1/2 hour, found the shut off valve, repaired the pipes and let us know the reason the pipes burst was due to our furnace not working. That being said, we called out someone to immediately fix the furnace."

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in Fishers, IN

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
