"We had our tankless water heater drained - annual maintenance. They show up when they say they will and do it right the first time. In the past we've had issues with AC's, plumbing and more. Evey time they've exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend them for any heating, AC or plumbing. We've used them for well over 20 years and wouldn't want anyone else. They are the best."

"Excellent work. Far surpassed expectations. Highly competent & professional from initial analysis of multiple problems and engineered a solution followed by a fast, efficient tear-out and installation by terrific crew to final clean-up. Excellent value. Job was professionally done the way the original installing HVAC contractor should have done years ago. Highly recommended."

"Great job. Anthony did a complete review of the house and the current venting and recommended the proper size for the AC. The installers and electricians came 3 days later, did additional wiring and piping and installed the entire system in 5 hours."

Hydro jet uses water at 4,000psi to clean the inside of the mainline drain which connects all the home's drains to the city's sewer system.
Using a snake we can go through the cleanouts on the side of the house.
With the cleanouts snaked, and the blockage located, we can send the hydro jet through the sewer vent and flush out the blocked drain.

"Sometimes things appear so much simpler than they turn out to be. We needed a new stove for our leased townhouse. The retiring unit, a once proud Jenn Aire, was showing increasing signs of its impending demise and our property manager assigned me the task of selecting its replacement. This I did, arrangements were made and the guys from Home Depot came by to pull the old one and replace with the new. Except that they couldn't. It seems that the Jenn Aire had a downward vent and the new stove (like virtually all others manufactured, it seemed) had an upward one. This meant that the old vent had to be closed off, along with other issues that could be addressed at another time.
We found Dave's business on Angie's List and Dave came over for a look see one evening. He listened to our concerns, answered our questions and told us what he could do.  He made an excellent first impression, arriving on time, neat and clean.
And so our manager hired him and then the wait began. Dave would give us a date, but the HOA, as most homeowners' associations, had to examine and okay everything. Originally, the plans were to include some outside work and so we had to get their approval and dance around their meeting dates. Finally, they did give their approval and Dave came over to do the work shortly before the new stove delivery.
He came right on time, did the patching and discussed doing some future work on the above stove microwave. He said it was entirely our option, more of a nicety not a safety nor code issue. No pushing here. His repair work was done neatly and quickly. The garage refrigerator was also addressed, once again pressing into service the ice water dispenser which an appliance repairman told us would be difficult to fix.
I don't know the cost of the patching, since the manager is responsible for it. The fridge line repair was $25 and worth every cent. Again, tidy and careful work.Dave came with his friend Keith who helped with examining the microwave and pulling out the stove. He is also a pleasant, knowledgeable person. Dave is very much the kind of professional you want repairing and contracting. I was a Nervous Nellie about the whole thing, mostly because the time from purchasing the new stove to its ultimate installment took several months. I kept waiting for the next problem to arise (not from Dave, but from HOA delays). He told me to let him worry about things, in a very nice way!
We have recommended him to our manager for future projects, and would certainly hire him again for our needs. He has a heavy schedule, but the end result is worth the wait.

"Tarpy was recommended to me by an electrical contractor I trust. Scott spent the time needed to go over all options for repairing or replacing my old system. I decided to go with a full replacement, and to install new mini-split systems throughout the house. Bowen did a great job working through some tough challenges to work the cleanest install possible. We needed to make a few changes to the install plan along the way and, to his credit, the owner, Broc, stepped up and worked out a fair way to get the job done and done right. Jessica was patient and thorough with the followup paperwork. All in all, a great team, I highly recommend Tarpy, they're an honorable team that delivers on what they promise to do."

"They came and did what I asked for. They had to return a second time since they didn't have the right type of freon for my a/c /heat pump unit. I wish they had mentioned that it would be good to inspect ALL of the system, including the heat pump part, which they didn't do."

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in Mount Laguna, CA

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
