"I searched home advisor to have my furnace and a/c replaced. On a Sunday I did the search not expecting a call or anything until the nect business day. Mr. Tucker took my call, I explained I have a house in Little Rock and I currently live in Albuquerque, NM. Mr. Tucker was highly informative over the phone and sent me a quote via emsil, always stayed in touch with me each step by phone, text and email. I felt very comfortable with him, when I asked to see his license and other paperwork he immediately sent them to me no hesitation. Mr. Tucker even referred me to his BBB rating and I checked that out as well. Mr. Tucker came to my house to inspect the install areas, then came back when all items ordered and installed everything in 1 day. True comfort was easy to do business with and I highly recommend them. Thank you very much for making my life easier!!!"

"I would like to update my review due to recent issues. When I had the system serviced the unit in the attic was not put back together properly. Two days after the repair the system shut down. I found the drip pan to be full of water. I drained the water and the problem continued over and over again. I thought the drain was clogged until today when I finally noticed water pouring out from where the main duct connects to the furnace. They did not seal it properly when they serviced it. I called today after finding water leaking on to and through my ceiling. Water continued to pour out even after the system shut itself down. A service tech came out immediately and said the drain was clogged even after I showed him a video of the water streaming out before it ever made it to the drain. They vacuumed all the water out of the pan and left after they siliconed the corners of the drip pan. They did not fix the seal where I showed them the water coming from. So after they left, it started filling the drain pan again. They came back out and said there was a clog in the pea trap causing the flooding. They cut off the pea trap and said "oh yeah it's clogged, you can tell just by how heavy it is." I was skeptical which is why I was in the attic with them. I cut open the pea trap and it was not clogged at all. They replaced the drain and sealed the unit back. I think that will solve the problem but I still have a damaged ceiling. This will be a test of their customer service. I completely understand that things happen. I don't believe for a second that this was done with malicious intent or incompetence. No one is perfect and if you expect perfection then you are sure to be disappointed. At this point I do not take anything back from the original review below. I still believe in Connie and I believe she is going to do the right thing. I hope to be able to update this soon and prove that she will provide the absolute best in customer service. At this point I truly believe Connie will accept responsibility and have the damage repaired. I have recommended her to several people already and I will continue to do so. When hiring someone to repair something like an air conditioner you have to be able to trust them. I couldn't tell you what was wrong with the unit so the repair person could pretty much tell you anything and charge you for unnecessary repairs. That is not the case when you deal with Connie. In my situation it was literally as simple as grass clogging the unit on the outside of my house. She cleaned it out added some refrigerant and now it works perfectly. Connie is knowledgeable, professional, most importantly trustworthy. This time of year can take a while to get a service call scheduled but I called Connie on a Thursday after finding her on Homeadvisor, and she was here on the next day exactly when she said she would be. There wasn't a four hour window of when she might show up. She said she would be here at 1:00 and she was. I highly rec"

"Great customer service! Another guy came before them and lied about something being broken that cost thousands of dollars to fix. I instantly looked elsewhere and reached out to subzero. They came in the window time, same day service. Fast and accurate! Air was working a few hours later!! I would recommend to anyone in need of a great tech!!!"

"They guys were very professional, cleaned up after themselves, did a great job, and were very efficient! Mr. Carroll was very responsive and receptive to any changes I wanted to make to the scope of work. The whole bathroom project was not planned, and they were very helpful and understanding to my limited budget."

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in North Little Rock, AR

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
