"We decided to replace an outdated AC unit and furnace with a brand new heat pump and furnace. After speaking with a Four Seasons sales rep, we knew they were the best choice to go with due to their thorough assessment, knowledge of products, availability of service and overall transparency. And perhaps most importantly, they were not pushy and respect our decisions on what system we felt was best for our home. As with any expenditure of this nature, there will be some ironing out of details and inevitable bumps to get everything completed, but the overall experience amounted to an energy-efficient HVAC system that was installed with care and expediency. Their service technicians are also friendly, thorough, knowledgeable, and available at a moment's notice. We are so glad that we went with Four Seasons."

"ThermaTek did a great job replacing the blower fan and burner rod in my furnace. There was a slight delay in getting the correct blower fan but it was only one extra day. Great service and a massive improvement in the performance of my furnace. Would definitely use them again."

"Used Phoenix to replace a furnace and a few hot-water heaters in our multi-unit property, and we were extremely pleased with the results. Before starting, they worked with us to select an installation that would both meet our needs and fit within our budget. They also did a top-notch installation. A couple months after the install I had a plumber in the basement for an unrelated reason, and he remarked about how impressed he was with their work. Most importantly, they were very responsive to our needs, and showed a lot of flexibility. Because we have such an old (120+ years) home with so many architectural quirks, the typical installation they were planning on doing wasn't ideal, so they ended up trying something new and making additional trips to their supplier to get the parts they needed for a non-standard install that would suit us better. Overall, they did a really fantastic job, and we'll definitely reach to to them in the future."

"After Keith arrived promptly and analyzed my AC problem, he and his crew installed a new system on a 90+ degree Saturday! He also adjusted an attic fan thermostat and got it running even though it was not scheduled. Very courteous and professional. Will welcome them back for routine maintenance."

"I have used Keith Lasco Heating & Cooling for 7 years. Keith did an excellent job replacing my furnace when it broke in 20° January temperatures. I use Keith for checking my heating and a/c each spring and fall. I prefer a nonprogramable thermostat that does not depend on batteries and Keith did a fine job with installing one for me. He is very dependable!"

"I had a sudden outage to my heating system. I called them, they sent a guy right out, took maybe an hour/hour and half tops for him to arrive and about 45 mins to fix it. Great customer service from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend and will be using them again."
Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.
Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.
With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.
The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.
Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.
An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.
An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
