"We had them install an outlet in our master bathroom for a heated towel rack and they did a fantastic job! The guys were knowledgeable and friendly and the pricing was very reasonable compared to other companies we received quotes from. We will definitely use them again! Highly recommend!"

"They came in a very, very timely manner. I called and not too much later they were here at the house. They were very professional and explained everything in a very understanding way for me. They were very comforting, because I can be somewhat emotional. Would certainly recommend to anyone who is in need of help with AC/heating."

"I had been experiencing uneven heating and cooling and high electrical bills for many years. My unit was also almost 20 yrs old and not working very well anymore. I did my homework and decided I wanted a Trane. I contacted several companies for estimates. Air Network as the only company who contacted me in the time frame promised as well as coming out to see what my needs really were. It turned out my duct work was done improperly by the previous owner resulting in my uneven cooling. Air Network answered all my questions honestly and gave me several bids on different brands and sizes before the day was done. I still insisted on the Trane which by brand names is not the least expensive but was still at a very good price. His crew showed up on time during a day where it rained all day. They put mats on my floors and began dismantling my system. Chris the owner drove 2 hours to north Austin to pick up the unit I requested since there were no local Trane outlets and then 2 hours back to Hallettsville. They worked so efficiently I actually fell asleep in my recliner while they worked. By the end of the day I was more comfortable in my home than at anytime since I bought it. His crew were neat and courteous and left my home cleaner than when they arrived. I was so impressed by Air Networks that I will not allow any other company to service my system in the future. There were no extra or hidden costs. The job was done for exactly what the estimate was. I HIGHLY recommend Air Network. This is the first 5 star rating I've ever given a business, but Air Network truly deserves it."

"Osborn Air saved me a lot of trouble when my AC started acting up. I was worried I would need to stay with my sister to get out of the heat, but Jason Osborn came out quick to get things fixed! I was very impressed with the service and how polite the owner was. I will definitely be calling Osborn Air again for any other heating or air problems I might have."

Small jobs welcome

"Our air conditioner, which was just "repaired" for doing the same thing a week before went out overnight and so I checked on Angie's list to find someone since I did not want to go back to the same company that had not fixed it. Richard called me and they fit me in on the same day. He found the issue with a capacitor and a short in my thermostat. The other company had been out the week before and said I needed to replace my refrigerant at a cost of $1800 which I thought was ridiculous since it was cooling fine just before it went out. Richard checked it and said it was fine and I'm great shape. He did not have the correct thermostat but provided me one to get the house cooled and is coming back out on Friday, 6/18 to provide me with a new, correct one at no additional charge. Great service and honest. Wish I had called him before instead of going with the more well known company that would have charged me around $2000 with service call and refrigerant! I ended up just having to pay a little over $300. Very happy!!"

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in Rusk, TX

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
