"Received estimate from Kade via email. He said that if I had any questions to call. Estimate was for $6056 with new furnace. I called office on 07/26/2019 (same day as original estimate) to see how much to replace 2nd unit and was told it was late in the day but someone would call back on Monday. I responded to email to make sure there was a record of my request since companies tend to get busy. On Monday I called again and was told that Kade wasn't in the office but the office person said that she thought someone was working on the price. She said I would get a call back. A week later, no call. I guess they don't need my $12,000. Estimate order number: 001085-1. They need to change their above description: Our mission is to provide the highest quality of service to all our customers."

"MSP Heating and Air were professional and was very helpful. Danny and Russell were very patient with all our questions and walked us through everything. Russell tried other options before realizing that our system was not repairable. Everything he used to try to get this system up and running went towards the price of the replacement of a new system. Their prices are right there with everyone else. I will recommend MSP Heating and Air to everyone. I?m very pleased with them."

"This turned out to be the best contractor experience I have ever had. Ryan was knowledgeable, skilled, professional, ZERO excuses, pointed me towards a couple of pressure-free opportunities that totally worked in my favor. I can't recommend AirTight Air, Inc highly enough. The work was started and completed on time; all components were top quality, and the total cost was very reasonable. I am convinced I will never have to worry about my heating and air for as long as I own my home. If you have heating and air needs, you cannot go wrong with this company, hands down the best in the region!"

"I'd like to take a moment to share with you my experience with Air Care Heating and Cooling who recently installed a new heating furnace replacing our original heater from 1976. After interviewing four reputable local companies in San Diego I chose aircraft based on excellent reviews on Google and Angie's list. Mr Michael Santana (Owner and founder) offered very affordable pricing compared to others not forsaking the quality of/ furnace unit, warranty and exemplary customer care /service. The installation process was flawless. Mr Santana's and staff demonstrated outstanding professional performance, effective communication to answer questions and concerns even adding extras like replacing events and the job completion in a timely manner making the whole process from beginning to end a truly"

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.
Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.
With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.
The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.
Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.
An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.
An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
