Throughout the twelve-hour process, both gentlemen demonstrated remarkable professionalism and technical expertise. They took the time to answer all of our questions thoroughly, ensuring we were fully comfortable operating the new system before they departed. We were particularly impressed by their dedication to detail and their commitment to our home's safety and comfort. We also appreciate the clarity provided regarding our agreement, including the 10-year parts warranty and the three-year service maintenance plan. Knowing that Coast to Coast will provide ongoing support to ensure healthy air quality in our home gives us great peace of mind. Before and after. Along with installing a new Tem4 air handler, we re-built the air handler stand to our liking. It was re-insulated with new fiberglass ductboard and completely mastic sealed. We also make sure our copper looks amazing on every job. No hand bends!

"Absolutely WONDERFUL! The gentleman I spoke with on the phone was as nice, and helpful as could be.. (I was sobbing when he called.. after a horrific 3 days, and coming home to my house that was 95 degrees inside) He comforted me, and reassured me they would be there, and not to worry any more. And the two gentlemen that came diagnosed the problem immediately! My thermostat wasn't working. The men changed it out, and shortly after that, my AC was blasting. I cannot thank JBC ENOUGH!"

"HVAC system went out and needed a new one on short notice. Team Enoch responded the same day and were out 2 days later to replace the HVAC system. Installation was done meticulously and with great care and the price was very fair. We paid about $6000 for a 4 ton American Standard (aka Trane) system. The first company that quoted me estimated $8900 for the exact same system and undoubtedly lower quality of work (Abundant Air Condition and Heating). Miles was my point of contact and did not try to push a sale and encouraged me to do some research for myself. Overall great experience, will definitely call again if anything else comes up with my electrical/plumbing. *This review was migrated from an affiliated account on Angi with an original submission date of 7/27/2019."

"I upgraded our home thermostat to one of those smart types. Originally I intended to do this myself with the QR Code instructions but the plug in thing in the back was a little too much for me. The process was seem-less, and the turn around time was quick. Air Serve came out quickly and got my thermostat replaced."

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in The Villages, FL

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
