"Premier did an amazing job getting my furnace working. They came within an hour of my calling Home Advisor and within 2 hours of my call my furnace was working! The motor needed to be replaced. The repair was quite pricey, but I have no idea how much a furnace motor costs. Also, it was a Saturday so there may have been an additional charge. I was very impressed at the quick and professional service. Thank you!!!"

"FANTASTIC!! My furnace stopped working in the middle of winter while the temperature was a blustering 10 degrees. After another company told me I needed a completely new heating system costing thousands of dollars, which I really couldn't afford. I then decided to call T-MARK. T-MARK agreed to come out immediately and managed to repair the furnace, rather than replace it. T-MARK's honesty not only saved me thousands of dollars, but they were prompt, considerate, and professional. I very strongly recommend their servives."

"We called Cellino because the first plumbing company that we called were scheduled to come back on Monday between 9 and 10am, they never showed up and never came back even after I called them (wnyplumbing). We called Cellino, there were there the next day, were prompt and very thorough. He figured out what the problem was (just a problem with a filter) wnyplumbing had said we were going to need a new hot water tank. Ryan took his time, explained everything to me and then also left me with quotes in case we do decide to get a new hot water heater. He explained the benefits of tank vs tankless especially with a filtering system that we have. If we do get the tank I will definitely go with Cellino."

"Touchdown Heating & Cooling was great! My furnace broke on Thursday night, so I called for a quote on Friday afternoon, thinking that I might be able to have them take a look sometime on the weekend. They initially scheduled me for Saturday afternoon, but I got a call later saying that they were in the area and could swing by that same day (Friday). Chris, the owner, and Austin came by, took a look, and got me a quote for a repair, a basic replacement, and a deluxe replacement. My wife and I called around 9:00 that evening, requesting the basic replacement, and they were able to get it done by early Saturday afternoon. Chris and Austin were total professionals from start to finish. No bs, completely up front in the evaluation of the problem and in laying out our options. They quoted, we signed, and then they executed perfectly. I have no reservations in whole-heartedly recommending Touchdown H & C for your HVAC project, whether planned in advance, or in an emergency."

Emerald Heating & Cooling was founded in 2000 by Marty and Carrie Sheehan, who combine their strengths to offer great HVAC service to the local area.\n\nThe business began after founder Marty Sheehan worked for an HVAC company and trained under a wise technician who told him “be like the duck on the water.” By this, he meant that ducks always appear graceful and in control above the water, while below the surface they are trying hard to stay afloat. It’s a metaphor for working hard while doing a beautiful job, hustling without mistakes, and doing great work without the fuss.\n\nMarty has taken this mindset and applied it to every aspect of our business, from the logo to the mission. This is how we approach every job we do.

"There is never a good time for a hot water heater to go, and in my case it was the Friday before a long 4th of July weekend. A lightning strike sent a surge that ended up causing some issues to my tankless hot water heater and this unit was less than a year old and installed by Cellino. Making a late night call, an answering service took the call and left a message. Shortly there after the owner Tony called to discuss the problem. A tech was sent out the next day and unfortunately the Supplier needed to be contacted to help diagnose the problem and make sure it was covered under warranty. The fact that it was a holiday weekend and the supplier was closed, Tony came out personally and installed a temporary water heater for my wife and my young boys. Upon the arriving of the part, Tony came out first thing and was prompt and professional always being careful to put on his shoe coverings as to not tract dirt in the house. He fixed the heater and was so professional in the process. I would highly recommend Cellino plumbing to anyone who had a plumbing or HVAC need. Its always amazing when the owner comes out to personally take on the job at hand. Its no wonder why the company always has great reviews, exceptional leadership from a hardworking knowledgeable founder."

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.
Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.
With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.
The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.
Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.
An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.
An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
