"All I have to say is that Absolute Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning exceeded our expectations on the installation of our new Trane heat pump! Alex was our point of contact, and he was very knowledgeable, and courteous. The installation crew arrived on schedule and impressed us with their expertise! Robert, Courtland and Cody got right to work and took out the old system… and then installed our new heat pump. They were all knowledgeable, friendly and courteous… answering any questions we had! One day! We have cool air tonight! Thanks guys!"

"Service Tech msg when he was on his way. Arrived on time and was very professional. However, the estimate for the replacement unit was 3 times higher than what a unit should cost to replace. So needless to say, I was disappointed in their quote."

"Coty ALWAYS does the best work in the Midlands at very fair prices! He recently installed my garage Ductless Mini Split and it runs like a dream! Clean install, he picked up after himself when finished and he even explained the functions of my new unit before leaving. I couldnâ t be happier! I would recommend him to anyone."

"J.C. is a very polite and friendly contractor.  He built a screened-in porch on the back of our house.  He and his helper did a good job except for using cheap materials in the ceiling that bulged in places and a screen door that would not hold it's shape.  J.C. made an effort to correct these issues.  He replaced the door with another door that also would not hold it's shape.  His helper tried tacking the ceiling which worked to some extent.
J.C. is an excellent tiler.  He retiled our kitchen floor and bathroom.  These are excellent.  My husband and I would both recommend him highly for tiling.
He and his crew laid bamboo flooring in our living area and hallway.  It is beautiful except for some buckling issues.  We made some notes of a few other areas that needed finishing.  (3/4 round by the fireplace, sealing of the rock tile at the front door.)
The frustrating part of our experience was the bathroom.  My husband and I spent an enormous amount of time (50 miles round trip, 3 trips) to take care of tiling for the bathroom.  Our first selection didn't work because when we were back home, we were told that some items were out of stock.  If the tile is on the show room, it doesn't mean it is in s tock. Our second trip was wasted when the salesman JC wanted us to use showed us only high-end products and our bill was going to be through the roof.  We only agreed to a third trip if JC would guarantee to come with us.
JC highly recommended  a walk-in shower.  I was skeptical about our shower not spraying the bathroom floor with water without a door.  JC explained how it would work and not to worry.  A year later, we are finally contracting  someone to come in and install a glass door so I don't have to wipe up the bathroom floor after a shower.
JC was not always present when the workers were there.  As a result a lot of work had to be redone due to lack of experience.  J.C agreed that his continuing presence was needed in order to guide the progress and accuracy of his workers.
When we pointed out that the tiles to the bathroom looked crooked, JC explained it was the initial contractor who  didn't build the house square.  That sort of information would have been helpful before the work began and not after it was completed.  J.C. found a great solution and redid the vanity wall to line up with the tile.
The make-up mirror was installed too high and only cold water came out of the shower head until JC thought they may have overlooked the scald-prevention device.  Once it was removed, it was fine.
We both like J.C very much.  I think it became frustrating for him when we asked him about problems we saw and how it would be corrected. It became clear that he was ready to move on to the next job.
The overall experience and quality of work we graded at about a C.  On the other hand, J. C.'s tiling would be A+"

It felt like having a family member working on my system, thats how comfortable, and rest assured I was with the Tech. FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in Lancaster, SC

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
