"Kelvin, the owner of the business, did a fantastic job with my project. He answered my call, was able to come by to look at the project promptly, knew exactly what I needed done, and made this process very easy with a reasonable quote as well. I had plywood flooring down and he and his guys unscrewed it, moved my attic items around to get full access in stages and sucked out all the old insulation, while covering my stairs and hallways with drop cloths. They were clean, respectful, efficient, showed me what was happening along the way, and did a stellar job. "I have to restrain myself from going overboard recommending Northern Virginia Insulation. Of the responses supplied by Angie's List, NoVa Insulation was able to schedule the first in-home appointment. They asked for a half hour to assess the opportunity. (Another company wanted to set up a 2-hour appointment with both owners present, which looked too much like an invitation to a sales pitch, so we passed on them.) Jeff, the owner, arrived when expected, took only as much time as he needed to gauge the materials and effort involved and work up a quote. He was pleasant, focused and professional, providing a price without pressure or drama. His crew was able to perform the work within a week, arriving on time and taking extraordinary care to avoid damage or leaving debris. "There was a problem initially with the radiant barrier installation - the first crew of two were installing 30" wide rolls lengthwise along the roof end to end  instead of from ridge to eave as the manufacturer recommends and made a couple of other minor mistakes which were easily corrected. After talking to the manufacturer, the sales rep offered to take out what had been installed and re-install according to spec or continue as already done with sealing of all seams and a discount on the job. Done this way, the foil would not have the insulation properties per spec but would provide the radiant barrier I desired. I chose the letter option and the barrier work was continued by another crew on the 2nd day. On the 3rd day the crew finished up with the barrier then blew in the installation.

With the exception of the initial problem, the work was done neatly and professionally by courteous workmen who cleaned up completely after the job was done.
