"Eric's team rebuilt our entire three season room, which was not functional. It is now, thanks to Mike and Brian. It also looks very good! Mike works hard at getting things done, and teaches the younger crew very well. He is structured and trustworthy. He also was patient answering my questions (I always have too many..!). Brian pays great attention to detail! I was impressed by how good the tile work looks, and also how good the finishing of the decking to the landing looks like, which he did. "The job went well, very brief and surprisingly inexpensive. (I understand everyone has to live, so I expected to pay for a livelihood, but I was delighted to have my wallet only lightly crimped.) Bertie Walsh arrived around the agreed time.  I gave him the two grab bars the VA decided I needed in my bathing area, an old retired vet in a wheelchair, like me. I live alone, in a condo, so I needed a handyman to install them.
I'm glad I had a professional person install them because, even if I were fit, I surely would have botched the job. This place was cut up into condos in 1987. It used to be just a red brick factory-- originally constructed around the turn of the 20th century to work with Brockton by making those metal lacing eyelets for boots. They used metal--not plywood--when they cut the factory into apartments like mine (Bertie Walsh later explained to me). If I were doing the job myself I would have been expecting wooden studs behind the tile--which would have been full of exploratory holes when I got done.
So, I pointed to the bathroom, assured myself that Bertie Walsh had all he needed, and went to finish watching the program I had on, wondering what I had to offer Mr. Walsh when he broke for lunch soon. How pleased I was when that time arrived and he said the job was done and that I only owed him $50!
Bertie Walsh explained to me that the grab bars were firm, but that he had to install them in the metal. Should they loosen, over time, do not risk injury, by all means call him.

"The work was of the highest quality. All the old trim, clapboards that needed replacing and any other debris were removed daily from the site. The owner and crew explained to me what was happening and why. Our house is old, so there were unanticipated issues after the trim was removed. "Bobby was incredibly professional, and did wonderful work. I had a shed that was sagging and had rotted wood. He skillfully replaced all the rotting wood with fresh quality wood, and completely rebuilt the barn doors - I now have custom doors on my shed! He also fixed a broken window pane and installed window sills to keep the wood from rotting again in the future. While he was here, he repaired my fence and also sanded down some doors for me so that I could repaint them. He worked outdoors during our coldest days of the winter: 7 degrees. And he worked when there was a foot of snow in my yard. Just shoveled himself a little path and set up all his work equipment. I couldn't believe he was so dedicated, and that he kept to his schedule despite the crazy weather. He also didn't let me pay him until all the work was done. This guy is a keeper!"
