Josh explained the situation, told us he would do the job, and promised it would come out looking better than even we expected could be done. And he was exactly right! My wife and I were more than pleased. I think we were amazed that getting everything to match as close as Josh said he'd be able to do was possible. 4. Another thing that we found so valuable was Josh's setting up of a tent around himself to protect the rest of the room from being overwhelmed with dust. Above and beyond that, he had vacuuming going on at the same time and we really appreciated the efforts made to keep as much dust as possible from going where we didn't want it going. 5.Josh also wrote us up a nice estimate for a lot of other work we plan to have done in and on the outside of the house. "From the first email to the last nail, Bob was the best. It’s rare to find someone who cares so much about the work he does—Bob does. He not only took the time to do things right, he took the time to go over everything with us in detail. Bob replaced a handful of mahogany boards on our deck, installed two new light fixtures—bedroom and front porch— built a fence gate, repaired a broken stair baluster, installed a ceiling fan, replaced a rotted board on our shed, and gave us lots of advice and idea for future projects. The work took almost four days. Bob texted every morning to let us know when he’d arrive. He cleaned up as he went and at the end of each day. The project came to around $4,500. It was money well spent."

"When we started our plan of remodeling, the first thing we did was the complete roof replacement including kitchen vent & duct pipe installation to the roof, and new installation of attic ventilation. His proposal included a rebuild of a wall of the bathroom to expand another one adjacent to it. Matt accepted to use my schematic design image (made with a software tool) and a spreadsheet list of the fixtures that I created - as many as fifty items including TOTO, Grohe, American Standard, Panasonic, and IKEA - to start the job (later changed some of them due to local plumbing code compliance) After beginning the bathroom remodel project, Matt shared what jobs will be done with us timely and efficiently via text so that we feel comfortable enough in knowing what is going on while living in the house of dust & noise from remodeling. The crews, Zen and Mark, were very courteous, extensively experienced, reliable, and friendly with excellent communication, sometimes with songs of 80s rock music. They ask me when more precise specifications are needed and notified me when they feel advance notifications are required. When a change is necessary due to inspection, they informed me and clarified what and why. I have never felt uncomfortable in living together with the remodel job which has lasted over four months. The completed two bathrooms were stunning, just as I imagined. Matt, Zen, and Mark have proved their strong & thoughtful expertise and lived up with my request patiently until completion. Great job. "Basement project: We met with Eric and he was our point person for the whole project. He and his team couldn't have been better. We were ripped off by another contractor a few years prior to this so to say we were gun shy was an understatement. Eric definitely made us feel comfortable with the whole process. The 2 guys who came in to do the carpentry did an excellent job, always included us on decisions, cleaned up after themselves, and were very personable. The quality of work was better than we could have ever imagined and the space looks awesome. They had to do some demo and redid a wall, added shelves and laid a floor. They stayed on track and on schedule and we felt the price quoted was fair and worth every penny.

The second project was exterior about a year later. We needed so panels replaced and repainted. Once again, on time and cleaned up after themselves.

Its hard to find a contractor to begin with and one that is honest and takes pride and cares about their work is a gem. We'll definitely use them again.

"Bertie was recommended to us by a friend for some work that he completed in Jamaica Plain. We recently built a 2nd floor on our cape in Milton and needed walls and ceilings in three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a hallway and stairwell. Bertie was prompt with his bid and was extremely flexible with his start date. He was finished with the entire job in less than four days, which was incredibly impressive. In addition, part of the demolition included tearing down two walls on the first floor and a strip of drywall by the front door. Without asking, Bertie fixed those as well and included them in the price. Furthermore, we are installing a pocket door and need to wait for that before drywall goes up, plus our plumber needs access to the shower before the durock goes up, and Bertie has already committed to helping us with those issues as soon as they are ready. I would absolutely hire Bertie again in a second if the need ever arises again."

"The work was of the highest quality. All the old trim, clapboards that needed replacing and any other debris were removed daily from the site. The owner and crew explained to me what was happening and why. Our house is old, so there were unanticipated issues after the trim was removed. We received a thorough explanation about what additional work needed to be done. I have many relatives who work in the trades, and I recognize the superior craftsmanship and skill of this crew and owner. We are confident we won't have to worry about any exterior issues for many years, other than freshening up our lovely exterior paint! We now have one of the most attractive houses on the block."
