"Since I work in DC, it was pretty much a foregone conclusion I had to have our out-of-commission water heater repaired on a Saturday.  The fellow answered the phone promptly and even offered a step I could take as a homeowner to hopefully avoid a service call.  Sadly, in this day and age, that was unexpected.  Unfortunately, that didn't work and I needed someone to come out.  He was forthright about the overtime charge for Saturday work, but as I said, I had to do it.  It took a little bit for me to get a call back telling me the technician was on his way, but a) he had to find a baby sitter (his boss ended up doing it...yay boss!) and b) he got here and fixed the issue by noon.  The technician was very courteous, professional and did not dawdle.
Lastly, given the work done and it being a weekend, I'd say the charges were very fair.
