"This wasn’t my first phone call. My first phone call I was greeted by a nice and professional receptionist who made an appointment to get a free estimate. When Ivan called, the first question he asked me was what year my house was built when I explained I wanted old popcorn ceiling removed. I was very impressed since I had read homes built in the 80s were needing to be tested for asbestos prior to popcorn removal and we had that done already. Thankfully our home was asbestos free. The knowledge shown from the first sentence and I was sold! They were on time and finished the same day as we needed. The job was labor intensive and my appreciation and thanks to the two employees who worked hard and did an absolutely amazing job. I’m sorry I did not take any before and after photos. I will be using this company again!"

"The tree, although beautiful, had a very destructive root system so it had to come out. Mike and his crew were professional, courteous and down right wonderful! As I mentioned it was a large tree and it took most of the day to cut it down. They were very careful to prevent damage to any of the surrounding properties as well as ours.
They also trimmed another tree that was touching our roof and then removed an old wooden boarder from the garden area in our backyard. I cannot say enough regarding the wonderful clean up job that they did (did I mention the tree was huge?). They picked up every leaf!
B & R Landscaping has done several jobs for us and we will remain loyal customers - when you find a good service, you stick with them! I highly recommend them for any landscaping, irrigation or tree service job!"

"Pleased with Steve and his team in general, though we were looking for a more interactive / thorough service: B & G will come and mow and rake, but they do not suggest other services ("That Orange tree should be trimmed up, would you like us to do that?" "Your sprinkler head should be replaced---would you like to to pick them up and install them next time?") or do any yard clean up that entails non-landscape materials. Also, the day of service seems to be a moving target, though Steve is very good about calling you the night before; I need to mow our lawn every week in summer to keep it looking good, and more that once I mowed Saturday or Sunday, expecting B&G Thursday of the next week, but they came Monday.... my wife had to specifically ask for some obviously discarded wood pieces piled up to be removed---they raked around them prior to her making the request ; We have had a downed tree limb in the yard for several weeks, never once have they asked if they can help us by removing it. If you are looking for someone to do nothing more than mow and rake (that means rake around anything you might have in the yard, including obvious waste / trash) this is a fine team. If you want more service oriented maintenance, either be very specific with them on what you want, or look for a more proactive vendor."

"Recently had noticed the hose bib coming out of an outside wall, which also feeds our pool, had begun steadily leaking a small amount of water. Although the galvanized pipe bib going into the faucet was severely rusted, it didn't appear to be a major emergency requiring immediate attention. Called Cal's on Wednesday, and was told their next opening was for the following Tuesday afternoon. I went ahead and scheduled, since it didn't appear to be a major leak. The next morning, I noticed there was a much greater volume of water leaking. When I touched the pipe, it came completely apart where it was rusted, creating a major gusher. After getting the main water line to the house turned off, I called Cal's to see if they could get someone out as quickly as possible as we were without any water in the house due to the leak. The dispatcher said they might not be able to get someone out until after regular business hours, but they would get someone out as soon as possible. About a half hour later, Cal's called back, and told me they had an opening and were sending a service guy right over. He arrived within about 45 mins. Jonathon was able to quickly remove the old galvanized hose bib and replace it with a copper one, fixing the leak, and allowing the water to be turned back on. While Jonathon was here, I also had him look at an issue we were having with the gas line entering the house apparently being pulled down out of the wall by the ground settling around where the gas line to the meter and the gas line to the pool heater are buried. Jonathon, after talking to the company owner Keith Lewallen, recommended disconnecting and capping off the line to the pool heater to relieve some the stress on the pipe entering the house, and then calling Southwest Gas to have them assess the gas line to the meter. All in all, a great response, a job well done, for a reasonable price.
