"First, about the project. Our house is 25 years old. The weather stripping at both the front and back door was tearing loose. It needed complete repair. About the technician (Joe), what a great guy. He was on time, he was extremely friendly, and he understood the problems with the doors. He was all business, repairs and installation. His workmanship is very professional. I highly recommend Joe to anyone who needs a professional help."

"The 2 young men did an outstanding job. I am very happy with my clean house and windows. They were quick to adjust to my service add for something I forgot to initially request. I will now be using their "every 6 month" service."

"Spoke with them at great length... They were first to contact me. I informed them I was under a strict timeline. I was quoted a $65 hourly rate and agreed to it. I asked when my install of a gutter over my entry way could be done...I informed them I had a special bracket that snapped into the gutter and allowed it to be screwed in it making it easier. I was told they were familiar with the brackets and they had used them before. I also informed them I was a two story as I live in a split entry. They understood and asked if 18 ft height would be correct and I agreed. I was concerned on their timeline for the project as I explained I had knee surgery and could not be on a ladder, and snow was on it;s way. I was told they could complete it this coming Saturday. And would it be alright to inspect the area to confirm height and access. They asked for my phone number, which I gave, and stated they would call me for details the next day. Two days passed and no return phone call ...so I called them and had to leave a message. One minute later my phone rang and they informed me they couldn't do it because it would cost me too much??? I had stopped calling others thinking it would be done Saturday. I was told I needed to call a gutter man. Very disappointed with two more days lost and under a time schedule I went through the process and called a Home Advisor Gutter man. After much time... I was told; I really needed a Handyman.. as the project was too small?? Running me in circles with limited time. And I'm currently disabled... Not happy with being led on ....."

"Chris gave us some good options for our project and followed through efficiently and promptly. The quality of his work was excellent. He is also very pleasant and easy to work with."
Custom window treatments cost $800 per window, ranging from $150 to $3,000 for materials alone, before labor is factored in. Blinds are the most economical option, while custom curtains and drapes are more expensive due to intricate designs and premium materials. The final cost depends on your style preferences, material quality, and the complexity of the installation.
Mini blinds are the most cost-effective window treatment available, providing efficient light control and exceptional value. They offer the lowest cost option at $600 per set and serve as a dependable solution for budget-conscious homeowners. Roller shades and valances offer cost savings by avoiding premium materials, ensuring that quality design and functional installations remain uncompromised.
Prices increase with larger windows, premium materials, and additional labor for complex installations. High-grade fabrics, hardwoods, intricate designs, and motorized hardware all contribute to the total cost. For instance, drapes run more than Roman shades because they use more fabric and detailing. Still, a well-chosen treatment pays you back in style, privacy, and insulation.
Layering treatments—say, a sheer shade paired with floor-length drapes—adds depth and polish to any room. Sticking to one color family keeps the look cohesive while mixing textures boosts dimension, sound absorption, and energy efficiency. You also gain flexible light control, shifting from full sun to total blackout without swapping hardware.
Energy-efficient window treatments lower energy costs by minimizing heat transfer through advanced fabric technology and design. They block excessive sunlight while maintaining a consistent indoor temperature, thereby reducing the demand on heating and cooling systems. They retain heat in winter and keep your home cool in summer, maintaining year-round comfort and producing measurable savings on electric bills through superior energy management.
Bay, picture, and dormer windows rarely pair well with shutters because their unique shapes demand more flexible coverings. For a cleaner fit and better performance, choose treatments tailored to those dimensions—think custom shades, drapes, or valances that accentuate the architecture instead of competing with it.
