"Bruce repaired our back door with amazing precision! It was an awkward metal door that was installed by a prior rehab contractor (over a year ago) from standard to wheelchair width door. The door was never flush or mounted correctly. As time went by, the door became unusable. Bruce tackled the challenge with ease and made the door fit snug, smooth & with a solid feel. For a little extra, he also installed a new storm door we purchased to the same back door. Even though he ran out of time on the first day, he returned the next day and cheerfully finished up and made sure that I was totally comfortable with the feel and sturdiness of the doors. He also suggested an additional safety lock which he picked up and installed that as well for both front & back doors. Once we get our foundation in order, if we have any other issues with any of our doors, we will be calling Bruce for estimates for those adjustments. Pilot Point is fairly far from most decent, reliable contractors. I can't tell you how many flaky guys are around who don't know their craft! Bruce made a difference in the quality of our lives; literally. I take care of my disabled hubby; unable to do even the simple things due to energy or time restraints. Our back door was taken from a 32" to 36" by a contractor we used a year ago. It was never installed correctly and was incomplete. It finally stopped working. Bruce gave a quote for the repair & re-installation, as well as for another nominal fee, to put in a new storm door. When he was done, our door finally fit properly and we now have a beautiful storm door bonus! There are no gaps; it is airtight, snug and easy to open & close. He pointed out where the other contractor missed some points, and showed what needed to be done & why. He was very patient. He did not rush, and actually came the next day to complete it to the level he wanted it to be. All of the "T's" were crossed and "I's" dotted, from what we saw when he was finished. Noting my hubby's handicapped status, Bruce also came up with suggestions of improving & smoothing over transition over the threshold. He adjusted the ramp from outside to fit the new door threshold location, and made helpful suggestions for the transition portion inside the house. He also noted additional safety measure we could install at our door lock area, and we asked that he put it in place, and he did so. Thanks, Bruce! It took a long time to find someone who knows what he is doing. We highly recommend Bruce for those jobs that seem overwhelming, but are very important to you, and they just have to be done. Bruce is the exception, as he knows what he is doing, and he does it very well. You may find his quote a bit high, but he does deliver quality craftsmanship, you get your money's worth and you will not be disappointed! "We are very pleased with the final products:  Seven 4 1/2-inch white shutters in the Dining Room and Breakfast Area and one white 2 1/2-inch wood blind in the Kitchen.  The shutters especially are beautiful, fit and operate perfectly, and appear very well made.  David was wonderful throughout the entire process, responding promptly to my many emails.  Most aspects of the ordering, measuring, and installation process went very well.  The wood blinds were delivered and installed within one week.  The biggest problem was the delivery time for the shutters.  We were told 6 to 8 weeks delivery time because the shutters are manufactured in China, but it actually took 3 whole months for the shutters to arrive.  This was apparently due to the problem with a workers strike on the docks of the entire West Coast and the resulting backup of container deliveries.  While I hope those workers improved their lives, it was very frustrating to us to have to wait so long to cover our naked windows.  This was not Drapery King's fault, and David was as frustrated as we were.  We love David and would not hesitate to order from Drapery King again.  In fact, I am sure that we will.
