"Jack also remodeled our bathroom at a different time. Since he works alone, he takes a little more time than contractors who have more than one person working for them. But, he always shows up when he says he is going to be there, unlike many contracotrs who don't. His work is always completed.in a timely manor. He is neat and cleans up each day before leaving and does great work. My husband and I have given him many references. And we highly recommend his services!"

"There are no words to express how exceptional Dan Brown Construction is. We had an emergency with our roof and no one in the area would help us except for Dan. I have no idea what we would have done without him. Dan helped us without hesitation. Incredibly kind, professional, and the work is phenomenal. I recommend Dan Brown to everyone I know, and hope to utilize his services in the near future. Also a huge thank you to Kristen as well! You are wonderful! This company is truly exemplary! Thank you to Dan and his team! My gratitude is infinite!"

"Wiliam Dixon Contracting was quick to respond to my inquiry. They gave me a bid and waited for me to get other bids. I hired them and they showed up when they said they would, they gave me an estimate on how long the job would take, they stuck within the estimated time frame. They were friendly, professional, punctional and they cleaned up any messes they made, ie screws, etc. I would definitely recommend this contractor and would use them again if I need work done on my home."

Custom window treatments cost $800 per window, ranging from $150 to $3,000 for materials alone, before labor is factored in. Blinds are the most economical option, while custom curtains and drapes are more expensive due to intricate designs and premium materials. The final cost depends on your style preferences, material quality, and the complexity of the installation.
Mini blinds are the most cost-effective window treatment available, providing efficient light control and exceptional value. They offer the lowest cost option at $600 per set and serve as a dependable solution for budget-conscious homeowners. Roller shades and valances offer cost savings by avoiding premium materials, ensuring that quality design and functional installations remain uncompromised.
Prices increase with larger windows, premium materials, and additional labor for complex installations. High-grade fabrics, hardwoods, intricate designs, and motorized hardware all contribute to the total cost. For instance, drapes run more than Roman shades because they use more fabric and detailing. Still, a well-chosen treatment pays you back in style, privacy, and insulation.
Layering treatments—say, a sheer shade paired with floor-length drapes—adds depth and polish to any room. Sticking to one color family keeps the look cohesive while mixing textures boosts dimension, sound absorption, and energy efficiency. You also gain flexible light control, shifting from full sun to total blackout without swapping hardware.
Energy-efficient window treatments lower energy costs by minimizing heat transfer through advanced fabric technology and design. They block excessive sunlight while maintaining a consistent indoor temperature, thereby reducing the demand on heating and cooling systems. They retain heat in winter and keep your home cool in summer, maintaining year-round comfort and producing measurable savings on electric bills through superior energy management.
Bay, picture, and dormer windows rarely pair well with shutters because their unique shapes demand more flexible coverings. For a cleaner fit and better performance, choose treatments tailored to those dimensions—think custom shades, drapes, or valances that accentuate the architecture instead of competing with it.
