"I own an 90-year old historic colonial high school turned into a bed & breakfast. The windows were neglected over the past 20-30 years and in serious demand of work. Modern day window contractors were not going to understand this job. It's very difficult to find a contractor that will come through on a promise and has the skill to do as they boast. The day that Grady stepped into my 90 year-old home that needed historic window restoration, he became a part of the house. He knew exactly what had to be done. More importantly, he understood my expectations. These windows needed special attention. There was a level of detail required that not any expert would be able to handle. Grady took the time to learn their needs and stayed on the job until it was to my satisfaction. He even reworked an entire window just because I didn't like the way that it looked. Grady truly showed expertise with his ability to work on such a delicate job and even taught me a few things about historic window repair. He replaced broken antique glass with one just as aged and just as historic. If a window had to be completely rebuilt beyond his solid estimate, he did it without any complications to my budget. My windows are not only restored, but they are literally brought back from the past. Any enthusiast will appreciate the lint-seed oil, putty, and antique glass that was all restored to perfection. It was a pleasure having Grady work with us. He even stayed in the house at times to make sure he was available for the job. "Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."

"I bought an Angie's List Big Deal: $99 for 2 hours of electrical work.  When I called to make an appointment, they called back within 20 minutes (it seems like all calls go through an answering service) and gave me an appointment for the next day.  No one showed up during the 8-10am window, and I waited another hour to call because there had been terrible rain.  Once I called and left a message, Julie Walls, the owner, called me back right away with many apologies--she didn't realize the technician hadn't arrived.  She offered to send someone the same day, but it was easier to reschedule for later that week.
On the day of the second appointment, 10am again passed, but I got a call from the office that the technician was stuck in traffic and would be there in 20-30 minutes.  He was, and did everything I asked.  I was a little concerned about changing out the outlets because it's an older house with plenty of quirks, but Steve was determined to make everything fit, and he did a very good job.  It didn't take the whole 2 hours, and he asked me if there was anything else I'd like him to do, which I really appreciated.
