"This is the second time I have hired them to do tree work. They do a very good job. This time along with cutting down a dead tree I asked them to prune a tree near newly planted fruit trees. They were very careful and did no damage to the new trees. The owner Brad is a very nice and polite gentleman. I would definitely hire them again!"

"Very knowledgeable regarding tree types and characteristics. Would of liked to know a bit more about where we were as the day progressed. Some of the hardest working folks I've ever seen. Great clean up. I'll be asking them back for more work."

"Daniel Miller and his crew did an excellent job taking down several tall trees and some smaller ones and it was done at a fair price. These are Christian men who live their faith. It was freezing and below on the days that they worked, but they showed up and worked all day. They also cleaned up everything. I can recommend Millco Tree Service without reservation."

Palm tree removal expenses range from $150 to $1,500, with pricing primarily determined by the tree's height and accessibility. Removing taller specimens requires specialized equipment and safety protocols, pushing costs toward the upper end of this range. Stump grinding represents an additional expense of $175 to $550 if needed. Obtaining multiple removal estimates helps ensure competitive pricing for your specific situation.
Palm growth rates vary considerably by species, with most gaining approximately one to two feet annually under favorable conditions. You'll notice substantial development within three to five years after planting. Many varieties reach their characteristic appearance within seven to 10 years. The aesthetic enhancement to your property increases progressively as the palm matures, potentially adding considerable curb appeal and landscape value.
Several palm varieties demonstrate impressive cold tolerance for non-tropical environments. The needle palm ranks among the hardiest options, capable of surviving brief temperature drops to surprisingly low levels. Depending on size and availability, cold-resistant varieties cost between $100 and $300. Strategic placement in protected locations and appropriate winter protection measures significantly improve survival rates in challenging climates.
Professional palm trimming services cost between $100 and $1,500 per tree. This wide price range reflects variations in palm height, frond density, and access challenges. Taller specimens require specialized equipment and greater safety precautions, significantly increasing service costs. Most palm varieties benefit from annual or semi-annual maintenance to remove dead fronds and seed pods while maintaining an attractive appearance.
