Best Arborists Near You

Arborists In Your Area

If your property includes trees, you will sooner or later find yourself needing an arborist. This tree care professional can help you take care of sick trees, prune them to keep them healthy, and perform a variety of other tasks specifically designed to make sure that your property and all of its greenery remains in good shape.

If, when the time comes, you need help finding an arborist near you, enter your zip code to be connected today to local arbor care companies. In that case, here's everything you need to know before starting the process.

What Does an Arborist Do?

As mentioned above, an arborist is a tree care specialist. Here's how the International Society of Arboriculture defines the profession: "An arborist, by definition, is an individual trained in the art and science of planting, caring for, and maintaining individual trees. Arborists are knowledgeable about the needs of trees and are trained and equipped to provide proper care."

In other words, an arborist is specifically qualified to help improve and maintain the health of any trees on your property. They can prune your trees, spot early signs of disease and damage, or remove them if necessary. Keeping your trees healthy is crucial to both the value and safety of your property, and the right arborist can help you achieve that goal.

The Licensing and Qualifications any Arborist Should Possess

Of course, not everyone who claims to be qualified to take care of your trees actually is. That's why when looking for an arborist near you, you should always make sure that they are licensed to perform the work necessary to maintain, prune, or cut down your trees.

Certification by the International Society of Arboriculture is voluntary. Still, it results in a type of quality seal that will be invaluable for you in choosing a professional to work with. Other potential certifications that carry similar weight are the American Society of Consulting Arborists, the Tree Care Industry Association, or your local/state arborists' association.

Arborists certified by these organizations follow a code of ethics that ensure they take every decision and action with the trees' health in mind. In addition, the associations make it a point to keep their members up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices, ensuring that a professional who carries this certification will take care of your property as well as possible.

The Costs of Hiring an Arborist

Naturally, the costs of hiring an arborist depend significantly on the exact services you need. Some arborists offer a free tree health inspection, allowing you to evaluate whether further services are needed. Most of our homeowners report that pruning services cost an average of $691 per visit, while tree cutting can cost more than $1,000.

Of course, a number of variables play into these averages. The number and size of the trees on your property is the biggest variable to keep in mind. In addition, the health, type, and location of the tree also matter in determining how much hiring an arborist will actually cost.

"I was very satisfied with the price, quick turnaround and friendly service. I would use Divine Arbor again without reservation."

"Mr. Brian Cooper and his Team of Professional Tree Expert Professionals are Simply the Best. We had a Very Difficult Tree Cutting Project at our Home in Hyattsville, Maryland, and the TreeScape Services Team Members Performance during this Highly Intense and Surgery Like Six Hour Operation was simply Fantastic. We had a Sever case of Poison Ivy in our Back Yard and recently hired some landscapers to remove the Poison Ivy and its roots penetrating throughout our Back Yard and specially around our Beautiful Tall Pecan Tree. In the process of removing the Poison Ivy and its Roots, one of the workers using the machete had accidently scraped some of the bark of Our Beautiful Pecan Tree. The City issued a Directive Condemning our Beautiful Pecan Tree and forced us to have Our Beautiful Pecan Tree removed immediately Before starting the Tree Cutting project, Mr. Cooper approached our Neighbor with a warm greeting, handed her the TreeScape Insurance and Bond Credentials, and assured her that if any leaf or branch fell on her side of the property, he would ask her permission and go clean it. Then Mr. Cooper climbed the Tree and Meticulously and Methodically Cut our Beautiful, Healthy, and Tall Pecan Tree that had been condemned by the City of Hyattsville based on Repeated Requests of our Neighbor who was paranoid it might fall on her house in a storm. Mr. Coopers Team worked in Unison. Some Team members were on the ground and with choreographed symphonic roping actions made sure Not Even a Small Branch fell on our Neighbors Property. We had kindly asked her to move her Old and Beat Up Volvo Car further back in her Long Driveway. Her Car was somewhat under the Large Umbrella Shade of our Beautiful Pecan Tree. She refused to move her car further back in her driveway and instead had her camera in her hand and was snapping pictures during the entire 6 hours of this Hard Tree Cutting Project. Perhaps hoping that a Cut Branch might fall on her car or on her property fence and then she could sue us the Tree Scape Services. However, my wife and I were amazed at how Artistically Mr. Cooper cut every limb and branch with the Precision of a Surgeon and his team members and him made sure nothing fell on her car that was intentionally parked under the scene of our operation and ensured that nothing fell or on her fence or her property. At the end, our Highly Impressed Neighbor simply had no reason to be complaining about anything falling on her property or on her car. Then, before removing the Tree Stump, Mr. Cooper and his Team placed Large Rubber Guards against our Neighbors fence to insure that the stump chips during the stump grinding would not fly onto her property. After the Tree Removal and Stump Removal Project, Mr. Brian Cooper and His Team of Professionals, Racked and Vacuumed our entire Back Yard, Our Neighbors Driveway, and Even blew the Fine Saw Dust off our Neighbors Old and Treasured Volvo. This was A truly Difficult Job that was handled in a Excellent Manner by a Truly Professional Team. I would highly recommend TreeScape Services and Mr. Cooper and His Team of Professionals for any of your Difficult Tree Cutting Projects. Now we know whom to call if our Difficult and Highly Prodigious Neighbor calls and complains about any of our other Trees to be cut down. God Bless You and Your Family Mr. Brian Cooper. You are a True Gentleman and a True Professional of High Caliber. May Almighty God Bless your Parents for raising such a Wonderful Son. And may Almighty Creator of this Vast Universe bless Your Wife for working so hard behind the scene in the office. And may our Blessed Creator Bless our Extremely Sour and Bitter Neighbor with a Dose of Pure Love and Honey to make her Sweet and at Peace with herself and her Neighbors and the Environment that she lives in. Thank You HoemAdvisor for finding them for our Difficult Project."

"We lost a large tree during a wind storm. I called for an estimate and received it same-day by an arborist. The work was completed within a week, everything was done very well. Their customer service is excellent. We had three estimates and theirs was the lowest."
