"After hiring Peter to install 2 skylights, 2 slider doors and a complete remove and replace roof paying out over 20k in total the sliders leak like crazy and ruined my ceilings on the first floor. We have called peter numerous times and all he cares about is collecting he $1200 balance, and rectify the problem. I told him he will get it when he fixes this mess, but it's been a 18 months and nothing has been done... this is inexcusable and gregis. I am contacting a attorney now... very shotty work... do not hire him"

"DO NOT HIRE TIM BARTLETT RUN don’t walk away from Tim Bartlett. His work is horrible. He has no idea how modern tile is laid. He has never worked with contemporary systems such as Kerdi. He tried to install a shower for us with NO waterproofing. He ruined $2500 worth of tile and never even apologized. When I gently pointed out the obvious errors and horrible workmanship in different tile work he was continuing, he walked off the job. And stole parts I had already paid cash for. A total hack. Untrustworthy. Horrible workmanship. No care or pride. Just interested in making a buck. It took me several weeks to repair the damage he had done to my house. I literally had to tear out all of his work and do it myself. I am builder and have done many high end bathroom remodels. I have NEVER seen workmanship this bad. AVOID."

Originally it offered a wider variety of items such as Pajamas, Hose, and Lingerie as well as Rugs and Venetian Blinds. In the 1980's when Gail Grillo took the reigns, the shop began to form, more specifically, around interior design and custom home décor and accents. Gail and Sharon, the store merchandiser and VP, travel to the gift and home shows all over the country to bring back the most unique and special items back to New London.
