"Highly recommended! Everything went very well. This is a well-run business and the peopIe are great. Their fences are beautiful, too. I also found the quote to be competitive and when the gate needed repair they were prompt and cost was fair.
Also, our home is in the Historic District so we had to jump through many hoops to get approvals before installing the fences. The team at Upright Fence was amazing - helpful and patient throughout the process.

"

"The fence is great; It did take a while from the time I made my deposit to the time the began work... but is IS spring :)

When I looked at the finished fence, I notoced the gate spacing was not equal on both sides. They came back the next day and replaced the hinges with ones that better allowed them to set the correct distamces form the side posts.

All in all... great product, professional and friendly crew.

"

"I had considered trying to do this job myself (well having my step-father do it), but after seeing a video review of the strength of the various "DIY" polls vs. the Protect-A-Child fence I decided to try and find a vendor to install it. I came across Susan and Jeff and am so happy that I did. They were really easy to communicate with, and offered some great suggestions that ended up changing the way we wanted to have the fence configured. Jeff came and had it installed in a half day, connecting up against an existing fence. Really happy we went with this company, any extra money over what a DIY version would have cost was certainly saved in stress and time."

"We used this company several years ago and were very happy. Then and now, we found the people very easy to work with.
He was supposed to show up at 9 but didn't arrive until 9:30. He didn't call but he did apologize for being late. We were fine with that as he looked the work over and got right to it. He, as well as any we have dealt with at this company, was very polite, considerate, and personable. He also spoke highly of his boss and company which is a rarity these days. Phil was going to put booties on his shoes, but since it was a nice day, we told him not to bother...he was hesitant but complied with our request.
He did a great job on everything and took the liberty to do some things above and beyond for appearance and utility reasons. He worked hard all day and wouldn't accept anything we offered but water.
The only issue we had was the final bill in which we incurred overtime charges that we were not aware of up front. We paid it but told the company we felt misinformed by not being aware that rates change after so many hours. THE COMPANY MADE IT RIGHT!!! You don't see that very often.
These are the kind of people I would want helping my elder friends. You might pay a little more than "Joe handyman" but they are reputable and stand behind their work...you get what you pay for.
I recommend them to anyone except those who want to pay cheaply for shoddy workmanship. We will call them again if the need arises!!
"

"We asked for a quote to replace a wooden fence with a vinyl fence. The quote was returned to us very quickly and it was cheaper than most of the quotes we received from other contractors. The day of the installations went very smoothly. Organic Soil Solutions showed up early in the morning and didn't leave until the job was completely finished (about 10 hrs x 2 workers). The fence looks great."

"Although the project turned out to be more complicated and took longer than expected, this had little to do with
the builder or his sub-contractors. Primarily the delays were due to weather, financing issues, and poor
communications on the part of the town's code enforcement officer.
Let me address this last issue first. Everything seemed to be alright until the pad was poured. The code
enforcement officer was upset that she was not notified prior to the pouring of the cement so she could inspect
the forms and re-bar. This and quot;misunderstandingand quot; occurred because the CEO never communicated to either myself or the
contractor at what points during the project she wanted to perform inspections. However, from this point forward
the CEO seemed to question every aspect of the project. Demonstrating considerable restraint and diplomacy, most
of the time the contractor bowed to her demands (he was much , but drew the line at her trying to force him to
install a water shutoff valve in a location that would likely have caused our well pump to burn out. In this
case Greg Bragg stood his ground, backing it up with State of Maine statutes.
With respect to the weather, June 2013 was one of the wettest on record for Maine. As far as financing, the
magnitude and cost of the project exceeded what we had budgeted and we found out just how difficult it is to
secure financing for rental property, especially if you are setting up a used mobile home. Consequently, we had
to break the project into two phases.
The demolition of the old house and initial site preparation went very smoothly as can be seen in this 8 minute
YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWaJEgV2iJE).
Getting the mobile home onto the pad was a bit more interesting since the ground was still very muddy from all
the rain we received in June and July. Fortunately, Greg Bragg of Bragg Builders had the foresight to keep a
bulldozer onsite. As can be seen in this 8 minute YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioZ1IFl-3CQ),
the bulldozer was absolutely essential.
The only other issue related to Bragg Builders portion of the project was a ruptured water line. Prior to
constructing the gravel pad a brand new water line was installed and was even packed in sand to ensure rocks
would not rupture the line. Unfortunately, a rupture occurred anyway. Fortunately, the contractor promptly
installed a new water line, at no charge to us.
"
