"Gus diagnosed the issue, explained it clearly, and spent several days doing major repairs. I felt like his only client, as he and his team worked diligently to fix severe problems caused by a second rate renovation of an upstairs bathroom by a previous contractor. Gus was very helpful in giving intelligent advice about dealing with my insurance company, helping me not leave money on the table that was due to us. The only small hiccup was a couple spots that needed to be touched up with the painting after the work was done. Gus was 100% committed to our satisfaction and scheduled the touch ups right away. He and his team were very professional and helpful, and I have since turned to Gus and Sons for other projects in my rental unit. I think the price was really good for the attention and service we received, and will certainly continue to rely on Gus for future projects."

"Had 270' of new wood fence installed, no removal of old fence was needed. Jeff personally came to do the estimate, which was a nice personal touch unlike the bigger fencing companies that send salespeople out. Jeff's prices were reasonable for the scope of work and being the owner and not a salesperson, he was able to explain the whole construction process from start to finish. His crew came right on time and finished the job in one day. They worked tirelessly and did a fantastic job. The fence went up a month or so before the huge windstorms that came through the area, and the fence didn't even budge. Many other fences fell over! Great workmanship, reasonable pricing."

"Scheduling the appointment was extremely easy.  They were very responsive, which is why I went with them over other companies and they also gave me a better quote.  They did a great job and the crew was great. Everyone was very nice, very professional, and cleaned up the cite perfectly.  I had no problems with the installation and everything was up to code in accordance to city guidelines and property lines.  I still get compliments on the fence today."

"Very well in both cases, one of which was a much larger job than the other. A couple of small installation glitches that were corrected the same day, so there was no real problem at all."

"This is a great company! The sales rep came out three times to help figure out how to best keep the dog from climbing the fence without having to replace it and keeping the nice open look of the split rail. He had several suggestions, always keeping price in mind. He came out immediately (same day) and then stopped by a second time to show me what he had in mind. It was clear he had taken the problem back to the office and discussed it to get ideas. <br /> The workers showed up the next day (it was really, really cold), they worked quickly, did a great job, added some extra support at the top of the fence that would keep it from sagging (that we hadn't talked about). <br /> But, that wasn't enough to keep the dog in. I called the next day and asked them to put in a stockade fence (+/- $6000). The owner came up with an overhang idea for $600 (his cost), came out that very day with a prototype, took pictures, went back to the office, emailed me the pictures, got approval to procede, and did the work without me there to pay them. All of this was done within six hours of my call! His solution was ingenious, effective, and not visible from the street. <br /> This company could have sold me a $6000 fence with me not having any idea how many other less expensive options there were and I would have been happy. As it turns out, they came up with a solution for nearly a third the price. <br /> I will never hesitate to use this company again and I will tell anyone who even looks like they need a new fence about my great experience with Accokeek Fence! <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Extremely well, even though we experienced many obstacles before we could give them the go-ahead to proceed. How I prepared: • Researched the county and HOA rules. Discovered I could get an 8’ high privacy fence in the back because our property abuts a major road. • Looked up fence laws on the county website. Found out that if a fence is built on a lot line, that both owners own half the fence and are responsible for half of the upkeep, so we wanted to be sure that our new fence was just inside our lot line. • Got property surveys. Had to call them back because they didn’t put stakes everywhere we needed • Put up tape between the surveyors’ stakes so I that could be sure the fence avoided some trees on one neighbor’s side, still staying within our lot line. Services provided by Adirondack after I accepted proposal: • Extensive e-mail exchange to identify and work through any issues that might come up on installation day. • Helped me with HOA request by providing pictures of proposed fence and gate materials, and a drawing of the proposed fence placement on the property • Worked with me during process of getting surveys, HOA approval, easement identification and avoidance, constant rain, and change in proposed fence line after surveys completed because we needed to avoid easements and large trees in the back of the property • At my request, avoided using our driveway because it was recently resurfaced • Planning around other contractors scheduled to work on the property (e.g. arborists and landscapers), and constant rainy days Day of installation at 7 a.m. Monday 11/26th: • It rained all day, but the crew worked diligently and were able to finish in 2 days. They built the fence and gates on site rather than using prefabricated panels. • Met with owner Rob, and foreman Jose to go over o EXACT fence placement (needed to be just inside property line, avoiding as few trees as possible in the wooded area in the back, and working with a large stump and the neighbor’s fence along one of the sides) o Went over every utility marking and compared it to photos I had taken when they were first marked. Rain had made them harder to see, but we located them and the crew was able to avoid the utilities. o Gate placement o Whether supporting parallel boards needed to go inside or outside the vertical boards. This was important because of HOA rules. o During the process, the foreman was putting up tape to mark the fence line. • During installation o Foreman Jose asked me again about some of the fence placement, and which side I wanted the vertical boards on. Glad I was home to remind him of what I wanted. o They were patient when I went out to inspect several times, and after they had finished. Caveat • I rated the price as an “A” but I selected Adirondack from reading reviews online rather than get competing bids. I was time-constrained, and because of delays not the fault of Adirondack, we barely got the fence put in before the weather became cold. It is important to me to have workers who are employees of the companies I hire, and are protected if they get injured. The price I paid was fair to me, especially as I watched them work in cold pouring rain, sitting on top of an 8’ fence, hammering."

"ADF quickly and professionally replaced our existing but deteriorating fence. We have previously used ADF to install a fence, build a patio, and build a deck and will use them again to build a patio in our new property."
