"I couldn't have asked for a better job. My house looks brand new. Phillip was responsive on my initial call for a quote. He came quickly and I got my estimate in just a couple days. He was not the cheapest (certainly not the most expensive either), but based on the walk around of the house, I knew he was the right person for the job. He is extremely knowledgeable and his communication is excellent. He gave me a start and end date with the proposal, and they started exactly on time. His crew was very professional and good workers. They had a lot to do because my house is 16 years old and I truly believe the house hasn't been painted since it was built. The paint job Northshore Painting did was superior. They spent a lot of time prepping the house, and that really made the difference. Not only did they power wash the house (which I expected), but they repaired, tightened or replaced any boards that needed it (and there were A LOT). The quote called for 2 coats of paint, but in many places they primed or put down 3 coats if they thought it was needed without charging me for it. They were more interested in doing a job they could be proud of than milking me for money. Phillip took time each morning to explain what they had done the previous day, what they found (if anything), and what they planned to accomplish today. Every day, they would clean up behind themselves, so there was never a mess. As we were going along, I added some work that I forgot about during the quote phase, and Phillip never said no. In most cases it was small and they just did it. A couple things were larger, and Phillip quoted me what it would be extra (very fair pricing) and they would also get right on it. They completed the job on time. It's very hard to get contractors who are as good as Phillip Osorio and his crew at Northshore Painting and Home Improvement. They are the best!"

"I called late on a Friday afternoon after my air went out. They came after hours, installed the new unit, and took the old one for evaluation & possible repair. A year later I called them back for another ac problem (different unit), and they came same day. Whereas another contractor told me to junk the unit, Greg replaced a small part & all was well. While with me the second trip, I mentioned several other small jobs, and they got right on them! The vent hood took a trip into the attic and up onto the roof, but they figured out the problem and solved it. This hood was damaged during Katrina (12 years ago) & Ive had several companies out to look/repair and nobody was able to diagnose problem. Now I have my hood back! Repaired two ceiling fans that I'd been told to junk, repaired a pendant light wired incorrectly by another contractor, and even replaced some light bulbs in my 12-foot ceiling-ed rooms! "Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."
