"We hired Calderon for a large interior painting project. After getting several quotes and checking references and reviews, I chose them based on their competitive pricing. I was told the project would take 3?5 days. While the overall paint job looks decent, the project ended up taking 8.5 days. Most days, only two painters were on site, and one day there was just one. On day four, the crew didn?t arrive until nearly 1 p.m. After the initial walkthrough on day one, we never saw the supervisor again. There was no clear communication or project oversight, and we had to direct the workers ourselves about what was to be painted. On the final day, the team appeared to rush, resulting in paint splatter on doorknobs, hardwood floors, and kitchen tiles. I had no idea when the project would be completed until the very end. Additionally, the house was left covered in drywall dust, requiring significant cleanup. Due to the lack of communication, delays, and the cleanup required after they left"

"We recently hired Valentine Painting to paint the exterior of our home. The house is 30+ years old and is two stories with cedar siding. I reached out to several companies for quotes on the job. All of the people who came out would do a quick walk around the house with me, observing what was needed, but making few or no notes. The one exception to this was Jim Valentine. Jim walked around our house several times taking pictures and videos with his phone and making extensive, detailed notes on everything that needed to be done. When he was done, I felt confident that there would be little or no unforeseen "surprises" once the job got underway--which proved to be true. To be honest, there were a couple of bids that came in slightly under his, but I got a strong impression that Valentine Painting would do a superior job. In retrospect, I think this impression was correct. Carpentry work was needed for the following items: replacements of cracked and damaged siding, repairs to an exterior door and its frame, and the complete replacement of our front door and frame. Valentine sent two carpenters out and within two days they had completed the extensive repairs and done all of the prep work for painting. Next a crew of 6 or 7 painters came out and applied two coats of paint to all of the walls, trim, doors, windows and shutters. Within three days they had completed the work and had done an excellent job. Both Jim and his crew were a pleasure to work with. The crew was very professional, conscientious and very friendly. All of the members of the crew worked hard and seemed to take a lot of pride in their work. All of the crew worked well together and seemed to be happy, which usually indicates that they like the company they are working for and are treated well. (This is an important factor for me.) When they were done, they did a very good job of cleaning up after themselves. I've been sitting here trying to think of any negatives to report, but there honestly are not any. But most of all, the house looks great now! I've actually had several times when I'm out in my front yard and neighbors I've never met that are passing by have stopped to tell me how good it looks. The overall experience with Valentine Painting was pleasant and impressive! So, yeah...I can recommend them strongly!"
