"Very professional! They have done two different jobs. The first was a problem with my sewer line backing up. They found that it was full of tree roots. The plumber worked for hours cutting through the roots. It was a long, hard job and he was determined to get it cleaned out. The second job was to clean the kitchen drain. Obviously, the previous owner dumped lots of grease down the drain. It was a lot to clean out. The cost wasn't bad considering that the tree roots ended up being a day and a half project."

"After installling a dishwasher and replacing the countertop, kitchen sink and drain, I called for an appointment to have the drains cleaned since they were not draining well. Don told me they were tied up until Wednesday the 3rd. I told hime my daughter would call his secretary to set up a firm time for his company to come out. She did, they were punctual, cleaned up after themselves well, and were efficient in their work. I will use them again. <br />"

"It went very well. After a bit of a wait, I received a very comprehensive report of 88 specific items as well as bacteria, fungi and particles. Each Item detected over the EPA drinking water limits had an explanation sheet. Also provided was a contact person at the company to address any questions you had about the report findings. I thought the service was well worth the $300 just for the peace of mind. I intend to use the company on an annual basis going forward."

"Excellent service! The technician arrived on time, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Over the years, I've had several home appliance warranty companies. Without question, Complete Appliance Protection is the best one I've ever contracted with. Their monthly price is a little higher than most, but I do have their best protection plan with $0 deductible. You get what you pay for..."

"They arrived right on time. First tried augering out the drain, then tried a chemical fix in addition to augering. Finally had to give up on that and cut out the pipe and replaced it. The old drain pipe looked like it was full of black tar -- no wonder water couldn't get through. K and G also previously installed a gas line for my new stove, and the service that time was equally prompt, well done, and right on estimate. I'd hire them again in a minute. <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Alda, NE

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
