"James started on 2/28/25, did not finish, & some of what he finished has to be redone. He installed deck boards on deck butted tight w/no spacing but on covered porch w/spacing, opposite the specs resulting in standing water & trapped debris on deck & entry for insects on porch; unfinished painting; missing joist hangers; new posts missing anchoring brackets; started but did not finish screen porch framing & screening. He substituted the manufacturer's bolts on one of the deck posts & those bolts are already rusting. Bolts on a cable railing system cannot be replaced w/o also replacing the steel cables (10 rows * 20' = 200' of cable). We did not discover the rusted bolts until after this text from his son on 5/21/25: ?My dad won?t be able to come n finish and probably not work at all anymore. I?ll just say bad news.? James left an unfinished job without a word of notice. So, if he is working, he is also a liar. Maybe he saw the rust."
