"I hired Cransten to remodel my bathroom. It was getting old and in need of an update. They came in, replaced the floor, built a shower pan, and laid custom tile around my shower. I was impressed with how friendly and professional they were. I would definitely hire them again!"

"I hired Bill (Red Butte Construction) after an unpleasant spec review with another contractor. Bill was a huge relief. With his experience and professionalism we were quickly able to launch a $500,000 project. Managing and living through a remodel is stressful to say the least. Besides the inconvenience, unexpected challenges arise, timelines change, budgets explode and delays are inevitable. Bill took the stress out of the inevitabilities of any contract work. His communication and flexibility for solutions was a godsend. I was managing my project from 1000 miles away. Because of excellent communication and proactive solutions, we completed the project with minimal delays and only marginally over-budget. I recommend Bill without hesitation. Remodeling is a stressful experience. Good communication, experience, and flexibility mitigate the inevitable. Thats what you'll get with Red Butte Construction."

"We had two jobs needing care; (1) clearing gutters, (2) cleaning and oiling of a beautiful wood front door. Brent from Meticulous was the employee who helped us, and he was first-rate--especially with the door. He was especially skilled and knowledgeable and gave the door some initial sanding and then a treatment which made the grains in the wood stand out. We call on Meticulous for help in many areas, and their work and advice is always first rate."

"Bright Side did a wonderful job with some new electrical work at our home. Chad is super easy to work with and his work quality is thorough, professional and worry free. On top of all of that, Chad is on time. He came to the house multiple times and was there when he said he’d be. I liked his work (and him) so much that I recently hired him to fix some things at my office building. We had to problem solve a challenge but he came up with a great solution and installed it a few days later. I’ve worked with many electricians over the years and while some may be a little less expensive, with Chad you get what you pay for—and that gives me a whole lot of peace of mind and reassurance that the job is done the right way."

"We had his help on our old home and now our new one. We know that the work will always be done correctly and at a fair price. We highly recommend him and will continue to seek his help on different home projects. He is great to work with. He was very professional."

FAQs for remodel to accommodate a disability projects in Alpine, UT

Standard Medicare coverage often doesn't extend to home modifications, such as roll-in showers. In specific circumstances where medical necessity is clearly established, limited coverage might be available through certain Medicare programs. Many homeowners explore alternative funding sources such as home modification grants, veterans' benefits, or specialized financing programs designed for accessibility improvements. Consulting with a Medicare representative about your specific situation provides the most accurate guidance.

Roll-in showers deliver significant benefits beyond their monetary return, particularly in terms of safety, independence, and long-term accessibility. By eliminating barriers to bathing, these installations help prevent falls while accommodating mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers. Their open design creates a contemporary appearance that appeals to many homebuyers. For households planning to age in place or accommodate family members with mobility challenges, the functional advantages often outweigh pure financial considerations.

A standard roll-in shower installation takes two to four days. Projects requiring extensive renovation or plumbing changes may take longer, potentially extending to several weeks or months. Factors affecting the timeline include existing bathroom configuration, permit processing times, contractor availability, and material delivery schedules. Creating proper drainage slopes often requires additional preparation time compared to traditional shower installations, particularly when modifying existing floor structures.
