One would think that this is usually a free estimate from other companies but Green Republic is anything but like any other company and I mean this on a positive note. Alisa called days before to confirm the meeting and arrived at the date and time agreed upon. Upon seeing the unfinished front yard and what we wanted(low maintenance), she was able to give me great ideas about the layout and what plants to use. She also gave helpful tips landscapers normally don't tell you. She also sent me a detailed estimate after. If I hadn't already committed the job to another contractor, I would have gone with them. "Wesley and his Sierra ***** Landscape crew are great! We started to redo our backyard when we moved into our house in Monrovia, but we got too busy and didn't know how to approach the space, so our backyard has spent the last year and a half filled with dirt, weeds, and leftover bits of concrete and rock from our cleanup work. We finally decided to call a pro, so we gave Wesley a call. He listened to our wishes, drew up a landscape plan at no cost, and provided a reasonable quote for all of the work. He was very communicative during the early process to get the plan and budget where we wanted. Within a week and a half he and his crew demolished the existing cement patio, repaved, weeded, leveled the yard out, added a drip system for our fruit trees and any future plantings, laid down sod and a sprinkler system, and added wood chips. Our yard looks amazing! He was easy to talk to throughout the whole process and his crew was efficient and clean. He has also come back up multiple times since completion to check on the project and the watering on our new grass - it's clear he cares about his work and his customers. "Our front yard had deteriorated badly in recent years due to the drought and deer population. Our terraced yard had been held in place by ivy that was dead and the hillside was starting to erode. Brian from Picture Build met with me to discuss our options. Drought and deer tolerant plants were a must for us, as well as some way to hold the slopes in place. We had met with other landscaping companies before, but Brian made new suggestions that appealed to us (e.g. a granite rock wall where we couldn't build a retaining wall due to utilities easement, among other things). We decided to move forward. The next step was meeting with the design team from Remarkable Gardens. The ladies were very nice to work with and produced a design that we were very happy with. Brian then provided a budget and plan that fit nicely into our expectations. The Picture Build crew were all courteous and professional as the project moved into the execution phase. I'm home during the day, so I was present for most of the work and tended to ask a fair amount of questions. The crew were always willing to talk with me and never made me feel that I was being intrusive. We did have some change orders along the way - some expected, some at our request and some unexpected but not considered by us to be unreasonable. There was a point near the end of the project when we were not clear on the status of some some loose ends. I called Brian to discuss these issues and within 24 hours it all had been addressed. My impression of Brian is that a top priority was our satisfaction of the outcome of our project. Also, about a week after the project completion, the irrigation system malfunctioned. We contacted the project manager, Brandon, who sent out a crew to fix the problem (caused by the high water pressure we have). The installed pressure valves and it's worked perfectly since. We are so pleased with the final results. We get so many compliments. I wouldn't hesitate to use Picture Build again and would recommend them highly to anyone."
