"<p>I contacted American Sliding Door to install pet doors in my sliding glass door and in the screen door for the slider.  I was so happy to have a local provider (I like to support the local businesses if possible).</p> <p>I knew I was going to have to replace the glass on the sliding door in order to have the pet door through the glass.  I found the price very reasonable  considering the glass replacement, screen door, and pet door hardware.  They are excellent quality pet doors.  </p> <p>The pet door in the slider comes with two flaps, one inside and outside the glass, this keeps the door insulated.  There are also magnets that hold the pet door closed from wind or airflow.  If you need to remove any of the magnets or flaps to help during the training of your pet, it is fairly easy with this pet door.</p> <p>Despite already having a screen door, the entire screen door needed to be replaced to accommodate the pet door hardware in the screen.  I find the quality of the new screen door much better than the original so I found the additional cost in the screen door to be worth it.</p> <p>The workers were extremely professional.  They offered to install the door shortly after everything arrived in their shop.  Everything came out perfect.  They took there time to make sure we were going to be happy with the end product.</p> <br />"

"Initial setup: *mostly* ok.  The consulting bit was only available during business hours; which meant not being part of the process (wife handled all of it).  There was no way I could take the time off; and there was no way the Wheelers would consult in the evening.   <br /> We contracted to have all the windows done; as well as having the moulding that hide the venetian blind hardware up higher (out of the way of the shutters). <br /> The blinds, stalled, look great. <br /> I *wish* that they would have been a 1-stop-shop to handle patching up the walls where the moulding was (texturing, painting); we would have paid for the convenience to just get it all 100% *done*.  I also wish they would have removed the old blinds versus leaving them in a pile in the living room.  In hindsight, we should have negotiated this in. <br /> Would I use them again on another house?  Yes, despite my negatives; the final product does and operates great.  And having their consultation up front was valuable. not just for sizing but for recommendations that fit with the current decor and also the challenges with the larger windows we have.   <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Alberto arrived exactly when he said he would, and suggested a much better solution than my idea - a flat piece of plexiglass to cover the whole, through which the meter could be viewed. No need for a complicated hinge, and no possibility the meter reader could break it while trying to read the meter. Alberto widened the hole (for easier meter reading), created a custom size piece of plexiglass, and did a very neat installation, leaving no mess. Very quick, no nonsense, no hassle, just the way a small job should be handled. Alberto will be my first call for any future handyman needs."

"I contacted Daniel Morgan through Angie's List and he responded right away. He came out to look at the garage and we went through everything and talked about different options, We minimally wanted the concrete floor repaired or redone and the dilapidated built in cabinets removed and walls finished with drywall., and we wanted to know what the options were for a tankless water heater and adding a sink. I had another contractor out to look and his recommendation was more involved, and would result in complete tear down and rebuild. Though I am sure he was right about some issues if we really wanted to make things perfect and up to today's code it was more than what we needed to make the very old garage functional so we decided not to go that route. I also previously had a friend who is a retired contractor have a look and his recommendations for repairing the concrete were in line with what Morgan recommended. Once we decided to go with Morgan and went back and forth by e-mail about a few of our options and concerns, he sent us a contract with a couple add on options with prices for those so that we could consider them when the time came.  Once they started the work Dan was there working or came by to check on the subs every day. The worked very fast and all of the subs were great and very nice and communicative and definitely experts and many seemed to have worked with Morgan for years, it was also nice that they all seemed to be from close by in and around Redwood City.  The plumbing for the tankless water heater (installed on the  outside wall of the garage- great space saver) was first and they ran into a couple glitches just because of the way the house and garage were structured underneath but they figured out a solution quickly and, though it added some cost because they had to drill through the concrete foundation, they actually still completed it that day. Everything else was very smooth and again I was impressed with all of the sub contractors, all were super nice and hard working. There was a plumber, electrician, concrete, framing, drywall and texture, and painters.   <br /> We had a couple of change orders because as things got going and looking really nice we decided to really finish the walls and ceiling with texture and paint rather than just leave it at taped drywall. The whole process was very smooth, Dan was easy to work with and we were happy with the final product. We will definitely be contacting Morgan Construction again when we start to plan our next house project. <br />"
