Customers say: Quick response

"They were punctual and courteous, and once the project got started, showed up to work every day, including on weekends. At one point, one painted wall developed two thin cracks, and they promptly re-primed and re-painted the entire wall. The painted garage looks like new. We are happy with their work ethics and dedication to customer satisfaction, and the quality of their work."

"Everything looked great! The ceiling repair was amazing! I can barely tell where he repaired the ceiling and the painted cabinets saved me money and time because I didn’t have to replace them. I would definitely have CM Painting do work for me again."

"They tidied up each day and never left a mess of dirty paint brushes or cans. Best of all, the staffs attention to detail is by far the best I have ever encountered with painters. the lines were straight, there were no drips and coverage was phenomenal. He was also very helpful with paint colors and estimating the required number of gallons for the job."

"Mike's price was far better than other bids for exterior. He and his crew were punctual, fast and professional. He also gave some good advice with color selection. Exterior came out great. Interior work was also really good. Only issue was we needed some contract work done along with the painting (some siding replaced, windows framed) and the contractor he put us in touch with was extremely unreliable. So... highly reccommended painter, but if you need supplementary contracting you may want to do your own search. <br />"

"<p>I had all exterior boards on my deck replaced.  My deck is about 450 square feet.  Lyndon came out and informed me of procedure, time frame and price.  He was very courteous and professional.  He explained to me that because boards were cedar they will need to be washed to remove film prior to staining.  There was no visible film at this time, but he let me know this was needed.  I had no doubt that Lyndon could do a quality job.  He was highly recommended.  The problem was, Lyndon didn't do the work, his crew did.  It is my opinion that his crew didn't do a very good job.  When the deck was finished there were "globs" of residue on the deck, siding, fence, and patio furniture.  I had placed furniture in my yard away from deck so residue on it was puzzling.  After I complained, Lyndon came out and inspected the work.  He said not to  remove residue from deck because it contained some treatment and color. (deck was slightly tinted)  He also said residue would vanish by following spring.  Here we are almost a year later and residue is still noticeable on the deck.  The residue on siding, fence, and furniture are no longer apparent.  I had to replace 5 of the new board on the deck and someone from Wood Medic came out and treated these boards.  I was not home at the time, but they did a wonderful job.</p>"

"this is the second time we have had Legacy work on our home. Our home was built in 1992 and the windows and doors were not looking as good as we wanted. This time around we replaced 12 windows and two doors. Legacy also painted a fence for us and replaced some cedar that was bad"

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Ambia, IN

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
