"Tim and his Team at Des Moines Area Roofing were the best to work with. Tim came to our house reviewed our insurance papers with us and made sure we were comfortable with the work they were going to perform. He took extra time and drove us by some houses he completed earlier to help us decide on a couple shingle colors. Once we made our choice they did everything they could possibly do to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. They were up front with cost and explained that nothing but the best would be acceptable. I highly rate Des Moines Are Roofing to anyone looking for a high quality roofing company."

"Very professional. Sonntag replaced the roof due to age and then we got the hailstorm and we again called them to take care of it. Tyler has been excellent in going thru everything each time. Pictures were taken and submitted to the insurance company. The crew was very good and finished each time the same day. The hail damage also included damage to guttering which they took care of. They did an excellent job with the clean-up. I would recommend Sonntag Roofing to family and friends."

He made every effort to ensure that I understood what was going to be done. He provided updates and pictures of the progress. Jon also talked with my father in law when I wasn’t available. It was ridiculously easy to work with Jon. The previous owner heavily insulated the attic crawl space. When Jon learned about this, he explained the options we had to properly vent the attic. He even came out to the house to show me once my wife and I had settled into our home. Jon went above and beyond, and I’m so happy we went with him! "Mike and his crew did a awesome job at our house. From the get go Mike was in contact letting me know when he thought materials would arrive and trying to line up a start day for his crew. I wasn’t able to be there the first couple days so Mike took pics and sent them to me to stay in the loop. Any further damage or weird things found we discussed and came up with a plan together. The crew was super polite and easy to talk to. They brought their own trailer to haul off debris and made sure to clean up daily. I would highly recommend these guys!"

"Our experience with Xtreme roofing and siding was amazing from start to finish. Ben was extremely personable and easy to work with. We got our roof done last summer and our siding done after the derecho which caused some tension in the market but he kept constant contact with us to provide updates on what was happening and when we could expect it to be done. He was awesome about taking the lead in communicating with our insurance company, which was a huge relief for us with us filing our first home insurance claim. When it came time to replace the roof and siding the workers were courteous and worked very quickly so both jobs were finished in just one day. We plan on exclusively working with these guys for life, we can't imagine I'd get better customer service or quality from another company!"

"I was very pleased with the work Judd Penny and his crew did on our house. His assessment of problems included addressing original construction flaws as well as fixing more recent inadequate roof repair work done by another contractor. Judd's familiarity with and appreciation of old house "character" was evident when he first came over to look at the job and weighed heavily in the decision to choose Mid-States for our restoration project. The work was completed for the quoted price, accommodating a number of "surprises" along the way that inevitably arise with work on old houses, like those mentioned in other reviews. Our job took longer than initially projected but to me that just seems to be the nature of the beast. Alternatives and options were clearly explained throughout the process, when decisions needed to be made to complete repairs needed but still keep within budget. I do not hesitate to recommend contacting Mid-States for home maintenance and improvements work. We will be using their services again."

"We found Farm and Home at the KC Home show. We needed siding and windows. John came out and gave us a quote for both. We had interviewed 3 other companies and found they didn't know as much or were mush higher priced. John had extensive knowledge and answered all our questions. They installed the siding first and the windows were installed a couple of weeks later. The installation teams did a great job. They were respectful and cleaned everything up each night. I called John a couple of times with questions and he called me right back the same day. The installer found an issue with something under the old siding, and went to the hardware store, got what he needed, and repaired it. No additional charge to us. I had a question about the hole plugs in the windows so I called the main number and the call was answered right away and resolved. This has been a great experience start to finish.
