"This was a large roof replacement. It took 2 days to remove the old roof and gutters, 2 days to install the new roof, and half a day to install the new gutters and downspouts. Overall was pretty happy with this company. We have used them for some small repairs on our old roof, but were tired of the constant repairs so just decided to get a new roof. It was a lot of money, but it was the middle quote (of the 3 we received) and has a good warranty. Guys working were professional, nice and friendly. They cleaned up after themselves everyday and did a larger cleanup once roof was completed. We did find some nails and other debris in the yard/garden area afterward, but none in the driveway which was great. Very easy to work with the office staff and the crew chief at the job site. Overall, I would highly recommend them. "

"I had a leak in an area of my roof and knew I needed to find someone to repair it or replace the whole thing, as I had a two layer roof near the end of its life cycle. Craig responded very quickly to my call about a roof repair, visited my home and carefully went through all aspects of the roof, diagnosing issues and discussing options to either repair or replace the roof. A few hours after his visit, he called me with his quote. I hired Craig to do half the roof of my house, because the lower half of my home was in more serious condition and Craig was able to do it only a few days later, during the last days of roofing season for the year. Winter was coming and there were only a handful of good days left to do roof work, between rain and cold restrictions. From my first call to having a new roof done was 5 days and it was greatly appreciated. I was impressed with his responsiveness, and his ability to explain and discuss everything you needed to know. Highly recommended. I also got an estimate from a different company that a friend referred to me, and they were using the same materials and approximately the same ballpark price as Craig. They also explained things very well and in a similar fashion to Craig. Getting a second opinion was helpful in confirming to me that Craig was a good guy to hire and reassured me overall on what was necessary and confirmed what I should do."

I called several businesses to try and schedule a roof replacement before winter; but none had openings until spring except for PPCMD. They were able to complete the roof within a couple weeks of contact and Mike maintained communication throughout the process. "During the initial install, the owner didn't properly communicate the work to be done to the crew so the wrong area of roof was replaced. When I called, the owner acknowledged that he should've been more clear and present onsite to ensure the work was done correctly. It took over a month, a formal letter and some phone calls/ texts to get the crew back out to do the contracted work. During the second install, it was suggested several times that they were doing me a favor. The quality of the works seems good, but doing business with this company has been very difficult."

"An update to my last two reviews. The person who was suppose to send someone to fix the issues had fallen ill and was not at work to send them out, so they were not ignoring the issues. Sahlems did come back out. Mike, very professional and another guy came out and spent a few hours fixing the issues. When they were done I took a look, all looks great. They did miss two low nails but I put some roof sealant on them and ya can't even tell. In my last review I said I would not hire them again. But considering it is such a large company and there were a lot of guys here, I can't with a good conscience say that the entire company is bad because of one or two guys lacking a good work ethic or having a bad day. Sahlem's made good on their work guarantee. The roof always looked good now I am sure it is as solid as it is eye appealing. Would I hire them again, Yes. They have been around a long time and I believe in giving people the benefit of doubt. Nobody can be perfect all the time, and they did make it right."
