"All work was done in a timely, professional manner.  Shingles and majority of the work was done within two days with a few items finished a few weeks later-a skylight that had to be ordered, etc.
Everyone did a top notch job.  The roofers even went over the grounds two times picking up nails after the job was done, and did a very good job at that.  They were very pleasant folks.  We were glad to have them do the work.
After the ridge vents were installed, I noticed s savings in my electric bill, too.  We wee able to raise our thermostat by 3 degrees and still stayed cool in the last few hot days of summer.  Ridge vents are definitely the way to go.
Thank you, Tony and crew.  Keep up the good work.  I highly recommend Tony's Roofing Service.
The office staff even helped me get my warranty registered with the Certainteed company after the work had been completed.

"We were impressed when we first met Archie and found out  he was a Christian man we felt we could trust him and his work.  He came back about when he said he would and built the patio roof in about three days and we were happy with the work. I wasn't happy with the insulation he put underneath the tin roof but he and my husband convinced me that it was okay so we went with it.  No problems until over a year later when we had some really heavy rain the roof  started to leak and the insulation got wet and leaked onto the concrete slab underneath.
The second job is he remodeled our master bath by tearing out an existing shower insert and having the plumbing redone and then tiled over the entire shower area from the floor to the ceiling.  We were told that the job would take at least a week maybe more or less but the guy that was working for Texas T came each morning about 10:30 worked till 12 or 12:30 left for lunch and returned some time around 2 or so and would be done between 4-4:30 and that would be it for the day.  It took twice as long but we hung in there and when they finally finished we thought it looked nice.  That is when Archie told us when he collected the last check owed him that if we needed him to come back if we had a problem to call  him.  A few month's after he finished we called him to come back about some minor thing we needed him to look; I tried to call him more than several times and we seem to play phone tag but after those few times I would leave messages for him and he would not call me back on even come by to see what the problem was.  We are elderly and the frustration of this is a lot.  I always left nice messages for him being respectful of him but that did not matter.  After this I would not use Archie again for any project and he needs to get rid of the guy that worked for him or check into what he is doing when he is not where Archie thinks he says he is."

FAQs for wood stairs and railings installation and replacement projects in Anson, TX

Pressure-treated lumber is the most inexpensive deck railing material. It's a cost-effective option that offers a good balance of durability and affordability for budget-conscious homeowners. Pressure-treated wood meets essential safety standards while keeping upfront costs low. In contrast, vinyl, polyurethane, and composite materials tend to be more expensive but offer additional aesthetic and maintenance benefits.

To calculate how much deck railing you need, measure the length of all the edges of your deck where railings are required (excluding any openings or areas bordered by the house). Since precise measurements are crucial, it's a good idea to hire a professional. Contractors have the expertise to accurately measure and install your deck railings.

In most cases, safety standards require railings on steps with more than four risers, steps wider than 44 inches, and decks over 30 inches high, measured from the next level down.

Railings should also be between 34 and 38 inches tall. Regulations can vary based on your location, so it's important to check your local building codes or consult a local contractor. There are also rules about the size of the gaps between pickets and between the bottom of the railing and the deck.

Before installing a railing on your front porch, you'll need to check local permitting requirements. Local building authorities may have specific codes that require a permit—or, in some cases, no permit at all. Reviewing your city's guidelines and consulting a qualified professional will help ensure your project meets all legal and safety standards, preventing any unexpected issues during inspections.

Deciding whether to repair or replace your deck railings depends on the extent of the damage and whether you can match new materials to the old ones. If you have minor issues, repair might be an option. However, when it's challenging to match existing materials, replacing the railings can give your deck a fresh start and reset its lifespan. A decking expert can assess your railings and recommend the best course of action to improve safety and maintain a cohesive look.
