"WAY OVERCHARGED! They quickly responded, came to our house, and repaired the AC. It was a Saturday so we were charged extra ($137) for the service call. While I know that is standard practice, and believe that is a screwing since it is just another work day, that is not my complaint as they were up front about that charge. HOWEVER, I reviewed my bill after the technician left and realized they charged $153.13 for the part (a capacitor). I looked up the part on Amazon and for the exact same part (same brand and model #), Amazon charged $9 with free shipping. I understand they need to make money on the part, BUT a markup from $9 to $153 is robbery. Astonished, I texted the technician who called me and quickly became argumentative. I said that I understood and was willing to pay the higher service call fee and understand that they also need to make money on the part but was astonished at the 15X markup. He justified the exceedingly high price of the part by saying: "I also charge overtime prices on the part" and "That's how all other AC guys would charge you" and "Welcome to AC 2023". Again, while I understand they need to make a living, and was willing to pay a higher Saturday charge, blatantly being ripped off for the part cost and such poor justifications were shocking, unnecessary, and worse than poor business. As it is not my practice to write poor reviews, as we are all human and make errors, I sent a message to the company stating my complaint. They did not even bother to respond. So in this case, it seemed proper to warn others."
