"Great reliable work competitive price knowledgable. They kept me informed and worked with my a.c. company to make sure both jobs were done well. He explained things and let me take part on decisions that would effect the price while maintaining quality work. Jesus worked with me on payment while my other house was being sold. He was more thoughtful than family and wanted to help make things less stressful during this time. He even did a patio extention that others would not show up to quote due to it being a relatively 'small' job."

"Kathy N, the engineer/construction supervisor and her wonderful team helped us understand options for wall movements, door placements and changes necessary in structural adjustments.  Kathy L the designer was very patient as she walked us through options of style (Mediterranean, traditional, modern, etc.) and small design issues (faux painting, appliance matching, cabinet wood and pulls, etc).   <br /> Work included moving one wall and changing one entry door into the kitchen area.  cabinets were all designed from scratch with an excellent functional work area that flows well today after 4 years.  The two types and color of granite are perfect compliments and add so much to the kitchen look and functionality.  We found all the workmen to be conscientious, skilled and open to questions and ideas.  What few little things went not according to plan i.e. termites found on removal of old cabinets or hole punctured in adjoining bathroom wall, were all dealt with quickly and efficiently by Nick, the onsite foreman.  Not only were they top notch in all ways, but we brought them back a year later to do a backyard outdoor kitchen, again with the same level of expertise.   <br /> Perhaps the best example of ultimate service occurred 2 years after completing the back yard BBQ/outdoor kitchen, when a piece of the slate behind the BBQ collapsed in after a heavy rain storm.  Nick was on the spot within a short period of time and not only had it repaired and reinforced, but had his crew completely rebuff the entire slate area even fixing some chips we had put in it.  What a surprise to come home and find them rebuffing and resealing the slate.   <br /> <br /> Over all a pleasant experience remodeling (I used to think that was an oxymoron) with an excellent team, dedicated professionals at about the same price or slightly higher than other bids we had but so much more value than we anticipated."

"The only roofer I called that didn't try and sell me a whole new roof.  Scott spent a good amount of time with me.... no rush, no 'can't make any money on this' attitude.  Suggested that I should call the HVAC contractor even with as long as it had been since it was installed.  He said that the roof was poorly patched after the old HVAC unit was removed and the new one installed.  He showed me what should have been done to help and what to watch for if they agreed to make it right.  He left saying to call if he could help and that we would figure out an affordable way to fix it.  When I do need a new roof they will absolutely be my go to contractor. <br />"

"Compared EMMCo with 4 other companies. They beat out the competition in the departments of information given, can do attitude with wacky schedules in the family, affordability, and promptness. They worked efficiently as a team, cleaned up after themselves, repaired damage caused by previous shoddy workmanship by someone else and were overall a great company to have in our home. In addition dealing with their office was a pleasant experience too."

"Since we have not had any problems since the original work, and since the company promptly and professionally honored their warranty, we felt confident asking them to re-coat the roof this year.  Mr Wampler offered us a discount as a repeat customer. <br /> <br /> Mr Wampler is honest and professional.  It is a pleasure to deal with him and his company.  He did the work promptly and courteously.  He knows his work and obviously derives satisfaction from seeing that his customers are happy.  We are comfortable recommending that anyone with a flat white roof contact him before doing any roof work."

"All I can say is that it that it is my experience that is VERY difficult to get reliable high quality work performed in Tucson and it is never an easy process. As for the work this company performed, I had hired other contractors to get this work done and they charged me money and did the work but the work was either poor quality or the work done did not fix the problem. One guy in Tucson, the original one that I hired to do the outdoor lighting, even contracted with me, took my deposit money, and then called me the day he was to start and told me, sorry I can't do the job and he still has not returned my deposit. So as for the work done by Brooks Restorations, well I have nothing but compliments. the work took longer to perform than estimated, some due to unforeseen issues, but people drive by my house now at night and they think its a resort. My bathroom wall is beautiful, the marble tile matches and the wall is not rotting anymore from the shower water hitting it. And, my flat roof, well the roof is now draining when it rains and the water is not puddling and remaining up on the roof after a rain, which is not good in Tucson. When the home was built, they did not slope the roof correctly and this has always been a problem. Other people I hired just kept coating it and making it worse. It actually took 16 bags of concrete to fix it, when he thought 7 would do it, and he worked on it till it drained properly and then, re-coated it. He even replaced the wood on the roof that had rotted with material that won't rot and which I had paid someone else to replace and they did not. I would HIGHLY recommend this company."

"Jimmy Moreno was very professional as he answered my numerous questions about the materials used and the process involved. He even brought over samples for me to view and actually helped me pick out the type of color variations I was looking for by comparing it to other roofs in the neighborhood to get the just the right colors that I was looking for in a roof. He worked diligently to schedule per my request and was very considerate of the neighbors about noise and work hours. In spite of the excessive heat, workers came and worked early and always cleaned up the work area and made sure gates were secure when they left. All of the edges were sealed and even he even brought some rolled roofing to make sure the roof was sealed near a flat spot where two peaks meet. Getting a new roof is something I have only done once before, and because of the expense, I wanted to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. Besides, he was recommended by a fellow contractor. It was a blessing to have him work on my home. Also, Elizabeth Moreno answered all of my emails quickly and provided me with any paperwork I needed, even with my hectic schedule. I am a very happy customer!"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Arivaca, AZ

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
