"Angel did a good job repairing my chimney after storm damage. We communicated well and he understood my concerns. He prepared a written quote and stated what he would repair so it was clear. His work was efficient and he took lots of pictures to show me the progress. He cleaned up after each day and called to keep me informed on when he would return or when he was on his way."

"Dany recently painted the exterior stucco on our house. He did a great job. The cost was reasonable and his work was professional and neat. I would use him and his crew again in a heart beat."

"FANTASTIC. I interviewed 5 roofing firms and Weston (owner) of True-Built was the most responsive, straight-forward, honest and competent. I had TB completely redo my tile roof, coat all the flat portions of my flat roof areas and replace and repair the roof on a storage shed. We upgraded to Boran battens, used a single underlayment of MB Technologies TU-43 and used a roll material on the shed. TB was a few hundred dollars more expensive than the lowest priced bidder (who did not have insurance) but was less than the higher bidders (who also looked like they did not have Insurance or Bonding). Weston provided all the documentation to show he had the required licenses, etc, plus BBB rating. We had to put off the job for a few weeks due to the rains, but that was fine. When we finally started, a big truck came and loaded all the underlayment, coatings and battens on the flat room for the garage with the underlayments laid out on the tiles - not in a flat position (as stated by the maker). Fidel (foreman) and the three-man crew showed up promptly at 7Am and worked every day till after 4PM. They never took a break (that I saw) and worked steadily. They were always just seriously working and very dedicated about it. I went up on the roof three or four times to ask questions and was always greeted with respect. Fidel was extremely cooperative, super knowledgeable and friendly. I felt I was with family. It was sort of stunning how well it went. It was all done in 4 days - one less than projected. The shed was also re-roofed and a drain system improved upon. They used two sheets of plywood to replace rotting wood and didn't charge me extra for them as they had a right to do under the contract. Weston also did not increase the proposal cost when I requested the upgraded Boran battens. They also painted the flashing which was a wonderful bonus and installed a screen over the shed downspout which was an improvement. The entire job was actually a pleasure to get done. I never had a worry. It was an Outstanding experience and at what I consider a very reasonable cost too. Good warranties also. My experience was as wonderful as I would have ever expected. Everything was picked up. It was like you never knew they had even been here once they were done, except for the fact that the roof looked better with the new brown "bird stop" they added. They even painted the concrete "mud balls" and new O'hagen vents (8 of them that were installed) the same rust color as the tiles. My experience was great and the cost seemed a bargain too."

"I never thought that I would live through a "popcorn removal" service while living in a fully furnished home, but when I had Kent, the owner of Beehive, out for an estimate, he assured me that it can be done with no mess, and he took the time to explain the process to me, using an illustrated booklet.  I decided to proceed and Kent and his crew arrived promptly on day one for a 7 AM start. The home is meticulously covered in plastic (which took 2 and a half hours for my 1200 sq ft home) so that befote the popcorn comes down you cannot see any of your furniture, windows, doors or floors. Then the popcorn ceiling comes down and repairs to any cracks are made before the new ceiling texture is applied.  The crew then cleans up and the ceiling is left to dry.  Two days later, the crew returns, the plastic is put up again, and the ceiling is sanded, and painted. If I knew that this process could be done with such little mess, I would've had it done years ago! But not  all companies have this same technique so don't expect this if you book someone else!

"I was very impressed with George and the father/son team at MagCor. I asked for a quote on some exterior work and George was prompt and thorough in his response. He walked me through the sequence of the repairs and delivered on every aspect of the project. The quality of his work was outstanding. I appreciated his flexibility in scheduling, and his reliability. When the project was completed, George took the initiative to repair and touch up some other parts of the exterior of our home that needed attention. Why? Because he had extra material and paint and didn't want it to go waste. He made several trips to a local paint store to be sure the paint color matched, according to our HOA's standards. He went above and beyond what I even asked for or expected. A true professional!"

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Arlington, AZ

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
