"Edgar offers his service at a fair / reasonable cost. Very timely and professional, as the work accomplished exceeded my expectations. Previous contractors did a poor job of matching original stucco while patching and replacing cracked stucco. Edgar's work matched perfectly and looks great. Attention to detail and cleanliness are strong points."

"Great job. Good communication. Edgar was professional and friendly. He worked around a couple of rain storms to complete the repair. Removed and replaced cracked concrete at the bottom of the stairs. He stripped off all the old stucco, waterproofed the new stucco, then painted it to match the house. He cleaned up the site very well. I am pleased with his work."

"Finally an honest Solar company!! I went through several companies trying to get quotes for one of my properties, either they were ridiculously expensive or they didn't return my calls. A friend of mine referred me to Mega Sun and I have to say I am very pleased. Within a couple days from the initial phone call I already had an estimate and once i decided to go with them the installation was completed in one week. Its been a little over a month since they completed the install and everything is working smoothly.

I was amazed at just how great the customer service was. I just want to say thank you to the whole team who helped out, I really appreciate all your hard work. Now I know you guys are the ones to call for all future jobs."

"My contractor was very easy to work with. Fidel was very accomodating, professional, and provides good customer service. He listens and tries his best to meet our requests. We got the sense that he wans to deliver the best he can. Rates are very reasonable, crew arrives on time, and very respectful. Will consider them in future renovation projects."

"I had Francisco's company Valley West remove the vinyl siding from 3 sides of our home. They installed stucco and I couldn't be more pleased. The stucco looks amazing. They did a outstanding job of cleaning up the mess. Job was done in a timely manor and for a very decent price. I HIGHLY Recommend Valley West for your stucco job. Thanks Francisco Art & Susan H."

"I would 100% recommend Delamor painting. Ramon was very prompt and courteous. He replies very quickly and the prices are very competitive. He has enough manpower to finish the job quickly. I was previously quoted almost double the price for painting my house as well as double the time! Not only was Delamor painting able to finish the job ahead of schedule but they also showed attention to detail, with recommendations for closets that I should've asked to be painted in the original estimate as they were very old and peeling. I really appreciated that. They were on-time every day and made sure to protect our floors as they were not being replaced. They understood our timeline and there were never any excuses about not being able to do something. Ramon understood the purpose was to sell our house and to repaint for staging purposes. Our home was left clean and immaculate with nothing left behind. I would definitely hire again!"

"Now let me rave about Dave... He was on time if not early, he is a man that can do what he says and does it really fast. The deck repair was above and beyond what we expected. We wanted it it safe and up to code, he made it a work of art. He was knowledgeable of everything we threw at him.  He repaired the window glass so we didn't have to buy a whole new window, squeezed a dishwasher in a tiny kitchen (husband must have dishwasher), did the insulation and did the water shut off replacement. He works quickly and cleanly too, we could not even tell there was work being done. We are so pleased and yes we would hire him again in a heartbeat."

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Modesto, CA

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
