"Joel was great. We contacted him on July 3, he arrived on site on the 7th and emailed us a Proposal on the 11th. We asked that the work be completed by August 4. This was not a problem for him and proposed the week of July 20. Because that turned out to be a bad week for us, we were prepared to wait until the last week in July. So it was a terrific surprise when he said he would arrive on July 14. Once work began that morning, all went smoothly. During the time it took to complete the job, approximately five hours, he and his helper worked quickly, efficiently, and thoroughly while paying careful attention to not harm the yews boarding one side of the site. A rather tight urban site. We were also grateful that he did not create a level site as we had requested. He instead slightly sloped the ground away from the house in order to protect it from any rain water. Sounds obvious now, but in discussing the excavation process with friends and others, none mentioned this critical detail. <br /> <br />All in all, it was great working with Joel. "The most important things about GC projects are (in rank order): 1. quality work, 2. good communication 3. showing up when you say you're going to show up. 4. Price. Fernando at Morgan was my main POC on the 2 projects (adding gates to close off our back yard and opening up some space under out garage stairs for storage). He and his team were great to work with, and hit on all of the above. Morgan was a little bit higher in price than other quotes I received, but what we got was great work, good communication and a project that finished on time (excluding the snow event that hit in February). That's worth a slightly higher price point in my book. I will definitely use Morgan again in the future."
