"Micah came and looked at the issue(s) I would like the original concrete contractor to address.  He showed me what needed fixed and explained how it could be done.  I asked him for an estimate because I do not think the original contractor will fix the problems.  He gave me a very reasonable estimate.  He also noted that the landscape work his company did last year wasn't up to par.  I was contributing extreme temperatures [near 100 in summer and minus 30s in the winter] to the landscaping issues.  He is going to bring in additional soil and re-seed the lawn without my asking [or any additional charge]!!!! 
On another note - I did tell him that he is not listed as "concrete work" on Angie's List.  "Hard scape"?? is the same, but not recognizable to customers!  He is going to change that, so everyone can enjoy the exceptional service Dean's Landscaping has to offer!

"We had a 20-year old large brick patio that was in tough shape, along with several flower beds that also needed a lot of work. We received a couple of quotes from other landscapers before Steve came out to provide a quote. Steve stood out immediately with his professionalism and vision on how to improve the patio and landscaping with a budget focus in mind. The cost of replacing the brick patio with new pavers would have increased the cost of fixing the patio exponentially. Steve assured us that he could re-use our bricks and make the patio look like new. The patio bricks were faded, covered with moss, and had tons of weeds in between. After Steve and crew finished the job, he was right, the patio does look like new. Steve's suggestions also helped improve on the original patio design. There was a narrow 12" flower bed between the sunroom and patio wrapping around it. When it rained it caused soil to flow onto the patio making it difficult to keep clean. Steve suggested moving the patio right up to the foundation, effectively eliminating the flower bed. It looks great and solved a problem. The patio was in such a state of disrepair the past few years that we didn't enjoy using it. Now we can't wait to go out there when the weather allows. Steve also gave great landscaping suggestions to improve the flower beds around the patio and in front of our house. We really appreciate how Steve patiently described various plant and shrub options based on descriptions of what we were looking for. His knowledge of what plants work well in areas with less sunlight, or how different plants look together based on shape and color was invaluable. Overall, Steve and crew deserve an A+ for the transformation of our patio and flower beds. We couldn't be happier."

"Kyle and his crew probably did the best cleanup we've had in the 17 years we've lived here. We will definitely be calling Ivanoff again. He listened well and offered suggestions as we walked the property planning the work. The crew completed the job as expected and in a timely manner, especially considering the weather wasn't giving them any breaks. Gotta love central Ohio in the fall. The deal was $175 for two man-hours of work. We knew everything couldn't be done in just two hours and told Kyle we were willing to pay for additional time and services. When we got his invoice, the only sticker shock we had was how very reasonable and affordable the final cost was! Clean up included cutting back shrubs and perennials (most needed major pruning), removing annuals, and leaf removal (we have around seven pin oaks, a willow, a river birch, a ginkgo, a magnolia and a sycamore - lots of leaves). The attached pictures speak for themselves, especially the before and after of the side of the garage. One final note: we're a naturist household and Ivanoff had no concerns with how we live. Acceptance of naturism is very important to us when choosing service providers. If they can't deal, they don't get the job."

"When they started the project, the concrete which was already cracked, seemed to be coming up pretty well.  When that was removed, they found a lot more gravel under the concrete than they anticipated so it was an additional time and expense to remove that.  The garage sill had to be repoured and they began installing the correct type of gravel and pounding down the base.  Being  April, it rained a lot in there and it slowed the progress as you can imagine.  Can't do much about the weather.  I also had some blocks on my garage foundation that were loose so they refilled the mortar to stabilize the foundation. This is when we found that the gutter drain pipes were broken and clogged.  They installed new piping and we cleaned out the remaining pipes before installing the pavers.  By having the "O" in the middle, it made for a lot more cuts and took some additional time but it was worth it.  They sealed the driveway and finally they installed the sod around the edges.  Along the way Jake had to deal with a major personal issue but handled it very well.  Jake and his crew did a very good job and handled all the little things that came up very professionally.  I don't know of any other contractor who would have worked with me the way they did.  In my opinion, they provided me with a great finished product and I would use them in the future.
