"TJ and his crew did a great job on both engagements. They were punctual, finished in the time he said it would be done, did a great job, and kept the site clean each day. I would not hesitate to use TJ again. The price for both jobs was fair and competitive with other estimates I received. TJ also made some helpful suggestions for the design of the new patio."

"Excellent! For several years my chimney was leaking and many contractors claimed that they knew the problem and that they fixed it but it continued to leak. Dale and Steve from Koontz spent hours trying to determine the cause of the leaking, found it and fixed it. They were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and truly wanted to help me solve this problem. When weather delayed the actual repair process they were truly apologetic and worked very hard to get things done by a deadline. They always kept me informed and tried to keep the repair as economical as possible. They cleaned everything up every day and the results are perfect. The people at this company are extremely reliable and honest. I would hire them again in a minute."

"Excellent, from start to finish. Best detailed quote and explanation of work to be done given by Dan (much more complete and correct, compared to 2 other contractor quotes). This company takes great pride in their work and it shows!! They are perfectionists. They even regraded and reconstructed half of my front paver walkway to meet the driveway at a proper level! The driveway is beautiful, down to its curve around my garden and back patio."

"When we moved into our house, the prior owners had just had the drain tile surrounding the house completely replaced. Unfortunately, the company went out of business, and didn?t complete fixing the trough around the house. They just threw chunks of clay and debris in the trough and threw some dirt over it. After battling the yard for 26 years ? trying every landscape option we could come up with ourselves, from bushes to perennials to grasses to evergreens to annuals ? we gave up. <br /> Time to call in the experts. We met with three A-rated Angie?s List companies last spring to talk about redesigning and landscaping the whole yard. All three had great ideas but Neal Goldweber at Lanhan stood out ? for comprehensive design and willingness to work with us around our ideas and budget. We take a long time to make up our minds ? being very picky and wanting to research options extensively. We were also trying to decide whether to do the entire project at one time or do it in steps. We were so pleased with Neal?s design and plant choices, and the quote was so reasonable, that we decided to do the entire project. <br /> But we had run out the clock because by the time we finalized everything it was high summer ? very hot for starting a new lawn and too late to plant. Then we decided not to plant in the fall because the front of  the house, which had overgrown bushes, two small trees and large ornamental grass, would have been denuded all winter. So we waited. <br /> In February or so, Neal contacted us to finalize and upon his advice, we looked carefully at the location of the patio, changed it and increased the size. Excellent calls all the way around. <br /> The crew that came out to do the work ? which took three days ? were great. Every night they cleaned up completely and removed all debris. Neal checked in all the time and amended the patio design for us at the last minute. He was willing to go the extra mile every time and we are just now seeing things bud out. Exciting! And we are thrilled. <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Ashtabula, OH

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
