"The only reason for a 4.5 rating on "work quality" was because of a haphazard application of concrete sealant. Rockhard Concrete did excellent work, the crews were professional and obviously very experienced in replacing and expanding my driveway, The owner was available and quick to respond to all my calls. I would definitely call this Rockhard for any project involving concrete replacement or installation."

"My mom needed her gutters cleaned and Stacy promptly called back and setup the date to come clean them out. They found some shingles and roofing issues that needed to get fixed as well as adding an additional downspout for the gutters (they have one for the whole house). We appreciated that he recommended them being fixed to make sure the roof doesn't leak."

"Not only lifted the section that was in the bid but also lifted part of the driveway and another section of sidewalk at no cost.  I had tried to lift this by myself and only managed to chip two big spots of concrete that looked really bad.  He fixed both sections for me without even mentioning it.    <br>Excellent workmanship and care."

"John came to check on the skylight, which is an older version that has been discontinued. He ordered and came back with a part that might be substituted, but it didn't fit. Not willing to give up, he combed through a pile of old skylights and found a part that fixed the problem. Although he could have shrugged it off, he pursued it to a satisfactory conclusion. My gratitude goes to Dan for discovering the source of the leak, to Darius for contacting John, and to John for his determination to solve the problem. We've had some heavy rain and a winter's snow on the roof with no more leaking. <br /> Each of these men was professional as they indicated that my skylight leak was a problem to be solved satisfactorily. Due to this experience, I would not hesitate to call Alpine Construction in the future and have recommended them to friends. <br />"

"A very impressive company. Daniel met us at our home within one day of our request for an estimate. He told us what the work would entail and answered all of our many questions. He was able to schedule the job within 10 days thereafter. He ALWAYS returned our phone calls before and during the job. We had met with two other paving companies and were unimpressed with both of them. Black Diamond crew and equipment arrived exactly when expected. Daniel texted us that morning to advise that he would be 10 minutes late. He arrived 10 minutes later. They prepped the existing driveway thoroughly and worked incessantly on two very hot days. Our driveway includes a basketball area, and a fork off to a pole barn. They had to remove several sections of the driveway that had deteriorated with age, then they built up those areas and lastly put down 1 1/2+ inches of asphalt over the entire 8,450 sq ft . It was a major undertaking and not inexpensive. We had never had to contract for asphalt paving before. It looks fantastic. It has enhanced our entire property."

"Greg and the crew were A+. Couldn't have been happier from start to finish. They were on time, fast, thorough, friendly and the price was the best. They are usually busy on larger jobs, but lucky for us we got them early enough in the season. From the time I called for an estimate (he came that day) to the time the job was completed, he didnt drop the ball at all. I recommend him and his crew 1000 times over. Great experience. <br />"

FAQs for concrete driveways & floors installation projects in Athol, ID

Polished concrete floors offer many benefits with very few drawbacks. While issues like discoloration, stains, or imprints may occur during pouring, these are rare when working with a skilled flooring contractor. Once polished, concrete floors are easy to maintain, long-lasting, and eco-friendly. They also resist mold and moisture, making them ideal for allergy-prone households, and offer versatile design options for both indoor and outdoor use.

Polished concrete flooring is often more affordable than tile. It involves lower material costs and less labor-intensive installation. Tile installations require additional leveling and preparation, which increases labor costs. Opting for concrete flooring helps reduce upfront expenses and provides a durable, stylish finish that saves money over time with minimal maintenance.

While epoxy flooring offers enhanced durability and toughness compared to polished concrete, it comes with higher material and labor costs. If budget is a top priority, polished concrete floors provide a resilient and attractive finish without the premium price tag, making them an ideal choice for value and long-term performance.

Polished concrete floors last 20 years or more when installed by licensed professionals and maintained with proper care. Their enduring finish withstands heavy use and remains visually impressive for decades. Regular deep cleaning and maintenance help safeguard the floor’s integrity, providing homeowners with a long-lasting, cost‐effective solution that endures daily wear without compromising style.

Polished concrete floors increase home value by offering a modern, sleek appearance and exceptional durability. A professionally installed floor not only enhances visual appeal but also minimizes maintenance expenses, making the property more attractive to prospective buyers. This flooring upgrade delivers a refined look while boosting overall market competitiveness and long-term property value.
