"Ranch Roofing replaced our roof, repointed and reflashed the chimney, and replaced two skylights about 10 years ago. Bob and his team did a fabulous job! However, I recently noticed the flashing along the chimney was pulling away from its base, and so I called Ranch Roofing to take a look at it. "I contacted NMTI-GC to help me figure out the best way to replace the old tar roof on my concrete block garage. My garage had a number of challenging design issues: parapets on all four sides, a center drain, and a weird raised section. I was getting eye-popping quotes and contractors who were all over the place with the scope of the project. I reached out to NMTI-GC on a recommendation from a local Facebook group. I contacted Ramon and we met within a week. He was kind, friendly, and professional and really heard my concerns. I had a fair, thorough estimate within a few days that included some creative solutions that no one else had come up with: removing three of the four parapets and avoiding drilling into our concrete roof deck. It took me two months to figure out which contractor I was going with after being blown off by another contractor who had come in with a cheaper way to do the project, but when I reached back out to NMTI it was like no time had passed. They pulled permits and started the work within about two weeks and finished it flawlessly in one day. "Went very well. Only removed sections that could be replaced with new shingles, hence, no tarp was used. Company suggested areas of concerns and showed me to prove their point as was the case in where the gutters did not extend far enough, hence causing damage. Was not being a (used car) sales person. Reset vent pipes to code at no additional cost. Ferreira is a GAF certified roofer."

Another roofer apparently attempted to frighten us into a full roof replacement. Robert told us we could squeeze a few more years out of our existing roof. You can't beat that level of honesty. He was highly knowledgeable and talked through our concerns. Very professional. He has our future business and we'll happily recommend him to friends in the area.

"I went with Ken because of all the roofers I spoke to, he was the only one that wanted to address my concern about attic ventilation.  All of the other roofers just wanted to slap shingles up.  Ken, on the other hand, actually looked inside the attic and came up with a plan to get better ventilation in the attic.  With the winters we've been having, I wanted better ventilation to help mitigate any issues with ice dams.  His plan was to open up the soffit along the whole front and back sides of the house and put in a perforated material to allow much more ventilation than the small vents every 8 or so feet that I had.   Ken also had no problem pulling back the siding by the dormer windows and shed dormer because there was no flashing.  I even asked Ken if he could go overkill and use 12' of ice and water barrier from the bottom of the roof.  All of my concerns were addressed and I felt comfortable letting Ken's crew do the work.
I am pleased with the work done.  The roof/skylight was complete in one day, but everything else took a little longer than expected.  I had asked to have the siding by the dormers to be pulled back so that flashing could be put in place.  I had issues with leaking by the dormer windows because there was no flashing.  However, apparently my siding was a non-standard size and had to be special ordered.  This delayed the process for a bit.  Now the work is complete, and I'm happy everything turned out great!

"LCT did an excellent job. They arrived right on time and had a large number of roofers--7-8 men. They worked quickly and carefully, draping the entire house and making an effort to watch out for plants (though some damage to them is inevitable). James, the salesman, recommended that we install plywood over the entire roof in order to be sure to get all the warranties on our Certainteed shingles. He showed me where they require less than a certain size maximum opening between roofing boards, and also showed me the many places in our attic where there were spaces larger than allowed. That added about $2400 to our quote, but seems like a good investment. They stripped the old roof, installed the plywood carefully over every roofing surface, shingled and cleaned up in one work day. They returned the next day to install a flat rubber roof on our porch, also very well done. While all their work was excellent, we were a bit concerned that many of the laborers traveled in the back of their vans--which had no seats or seatbelts. Nonetheless, the workers reported liking working for this company, and that they were well-treated. Luis, the owner, called us soon after to see if we were happy with the work. Nice work, LCT!"
